I live in the northeast part of La out in the country my ride broke down and lost my job can't even get a job cause nobody help you get to work don't move here it not as good as they say people just look out for them shelf

Now that St George has annexed from Baton Rouge, the numbers may change. The last I heard, Baton Rouge schools were dead last in the state.

I don't think St George has formed their own school district yet, but it's coming I'm sure. Zachary and Central seem to be doing well with their own school districts after they annexed,

They don't list apartments in the MLS so I can't show apartments myself. I would look on a website like hotpads for apartments in the area. But if you are looking for single family home rentals that are listed in the MLS, I can help with those.

There are many reasons why moving to Louisiana would be a BAD decision. Look past the fluff and hype and DO YOUR HOMEWORK. If you have children or plan to have children, think carefully before you condem them to all of the criminal, social, cultural, economic, political, and toxic environmental consequences.

I've lived in the area most of my life with no real issues. No city is crime free, but I never feel unsafe in my daily life.

The criminals don't like the cool weather, is what I meant, to say, they seem to slow their activities down in the cooler months. But it is a beautiful city.

Good thing I can say about it is they do solve crime quickly, , but it's still so much of it, but dang you spoke of animals, good grief, no way. Baton rouge is much nicer in the cool months, it's like criminals take a break, I'm e they don't like the cool weather, and that is all I will say I know about it, but I don't want to knock baton rouge too much..

It can definitely be tough at times. I've driven all over the country and while rush hour traffic is bad everywhere, I don't know that I've seen much worse than coming into BR on I-10 across the Mississippi River Bridge.

Some bad news about the interstate congestion remediation plans: I attended a couple of open meetings about interstate widening, the Washington St. exit, etc. Unfortunately, even if every measure were enacted, by 2030-2050, the traffic would only be as bad as it currently is-there will only be some relief immediately after they’re completed.

If you're considering moving to Louisiana, the best course of action is to wake up and not move to Louisiana, which has the worst weather, worst healthcare, worst roads and worst education in the country. You can season food no matter where you live.

Ive been looking into moving there but not sure which area. Ive heard the schools are not good(would homeschooling be better?) but the land is cheaper thsn anywhere else. I like the laid back vibe and love they seem to share for each other which is highly important. Can you recommend an area? Preferably low crime

I’ve been living in Louisiana all of my life and if you do want to move here, the best area in my opinion is Lafayette or Baton Rouge. The schooling is pretty good, if you are sending your kid(s) to private school.

@@josephlowery4452 it definitely ranges. We can find you something in flood zone X, which doesn't require flood insurance at all. But even when you need it, it can range from 4 or 5 hundred per year, to thousands per year. But that's where I come in and can help you with that.
