@Pedro-ve7sz if you think pubs is harder than ranked, you don’t play enough ranked or your really bad lmao. Every time I play pubs I’m getting top of leaderboard, highest streaks, and all best plays because it’s SO easy, I get back on ranked and it’s hard to have a KD above 1.5

SBMM ruined the modern FPS. Nothing beats the old feeling of Playing GBs all day with the boys then running a couple pups and stomping randos. I downloaded bo6 last night to play for the first time. I had fun for is my first 3 games. Then the algorithm figures me out and I’m level 9 in lobby’s with prestige master crimson players and it’s a constant swet fest. If I want to play players of my skill level I would grind ranked/CMG/wagers. But when it comes to playing pups the only factor that should determine who I’m playing with and against is internet connectivity/server stability. What’s funny about the whole things is they brought in psychologist back in the day, to have them figure out how to maximize players retention. The result of that is the SBMM we have today. Without SBMM I would play for 5-8 hours a day, every day until the next cod/halo would come out. After SBMM I’ll play for maybe 40 minutes to a hour a day 2-3 times a week. And sometimes skip the next installment of games in COD entirely. So I’m not sure who they’re actually “retaining” lmao. No wonder the games dying. Before someone says some dumb shit like “the games dieing because of hackers”. COD specifically has had hackers in basically every title. And its popularity and fun factor was still unrivaled. Shit if you go back and play the older titles the only players left on those are the hackers. Beyond that they are rare to actually run into. So no, what killed COD and basically ever other mainstream fps game is SBMM. Because nobody, not even the pros want every game to play like theres 1mill on the line, when theres not.

I came back from a big break, talking BO2 last true trying to get better, and I'm so fucking confused. So no more tournaments that aren't hosted by Activision? Where do players play nowadays outside of gamebattles without the frustration of cheaters through ranked play. I thought I was just bad at the game but then I found out about this SBMM and how bad it was balanced this game, turning public matches into full blown comp matches. 600 for a UAV is madness also. The public side just feels punishing for playing well. The ranked side feels awful due to the cheating epidemic. What the hell is Low Town anyways. Idk anymore, seems like theyll do one of the following options, we'll either see major improvements in season 2, they do minor fixes and bring everything forward into making the next game, or finally, just not care and squeeze out as much profit as they can with every title going forward.
