the problems with warzone: terrible optimization, game runs terribly for how ugly it looks, lighting is bad and game looks bad overall, old rebirth looked 10 times better than this one for example idk how they managed to do that servers, hackers, overall the way the game works is dogwater, constant bugs with loadouts, lobbies, loading etc stale meta every time, not enough variety in guns/builds

I think the cheaters and lack of an effective anti cheat is a solid like 90% of the problem especially in ranked warzone right now. Really gives off the vibe of we don’t give a shit about the community or competitiveness as long as we keep selling skins. I also think it would be good to do a real weapon rebalance where you can use any gun you want instead so everyone isn’t just using the same 2 guns with the same attachments when the game has 40+ other guns that are straight ass. Maybe change it to damage by weapon caliber so it’s more personalized per player and we’d have a reason to buy and use the blueprints with the cool camos. Also agree with the giving us all the tools at our disposal to play as fast as we want.

I always thought it was weird how there's so many guns and like you said most are straight ass. Less is more? Maybe just have a smaller set of guns for Warzone but broader amount for the other play modes like Zombies. Gun quality is a huge advantage 1v1. I don't like being third partied but I can deal with it. I can't deal with 1v1 and I lose purely because other guy figured out the one good gun out of 40 and I landed on the wrong one. Either make them all equally balanced or narrow down the options so that it's less likely you get a bad gun.

I 100% agree with the last bit of discussion that player ability has improved from 10 years ago. Everyone complaining that maps are sweaty need to realize that many of the players are people 35-45 who have been playing these games since 10 years ago. We didn't stop playing because we got older. And like in duos or quads, now there's 2-4 of us who are friends who play together all the time. Same in DMZ when the game mode was still getting updates. I think there's a perception that the only good CoD players are streamers and pro gamers. They are great players, yes, but plenty of other really good casual players out there across the world to make matches competitive. Not everyone is a bot.

Maybe but controller aim-assist has gotten way overtuned over the last few years. Verdansk/Caldera was fine-ish, with MW2-2 some guns had brutal muzzle flash when you shot them you had very poor visibility with mouse and keyboard, with a controller it just locked on through that muzzle flash and melted. If AA locks on, you're dead. Combine that with players that've been grinding with controllers for years, increasing the effectiveness of AA year by year and you get a cross play game where everyone has to play on controller if they want to be competitive or have a chance. I remember a statement from couragejd in the open beta of BO6 where he said "If you play mouse and keyboard in this game you're literally throwing" in context with the new omni movement.

This was my review for Warzone when season one released: "As I have for the past two games, I'll review the main game, then I turn around and review the new iteration of Warzone, once it releases. The reason? I view Warzone as a separate game. I'm sure the developers want me to view Warzone as a supporting game mode but the vibe usually is so vastly different, I feel it deserves its own review. That being said, I truly feel Warzone should be it's own game, complete, with it's own set of iconic operators, seasonal cinematics, weapon loadouts and cameo skins (the term I'm giving skins used to promote a characters, artists or athletes outside of the mainline story, i.e. Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj or Art the Clown). Sure, the developers could use the story to support the current mainline game, but overall it should be a wholly seperate experience. Also, if the developers are reading this (and I know they are), I believe this game would be best suited as a battle royal/ extraction shooter hybrid with a unique, risk vs. reward gameplay loop. That loop could allow players to earn as much money as possible before either extracting or continuing to play and win the big cash prize. The player can then turn around and use the cash earned in-game to prestige and unlock seasonal weapons, operators and attachments. Vanity weapon skins and cameo skins will always be purchasable in the store as that's how Activision is able to keep the game free-to-play, but this new way of playing the game would keep things interesting while allow for intense new gameplay strategies. So, how's THIS iteration of Warzone? Well, the new omnimovement and upgraded graphics, along with the ability to use all my old weapons and skins going back to Modern Warfare II and III, makes this honestly feel like how Warzone was meant to feel and play. While my skill level is nowhere near up to par, I can say I'm having lots more fun moving around the map."

Go back to Blackout or OG WZ. Get rid of Loadouts or make it a new mechanic where you craft or buy a loadout in game without having to grind attachments. Upgrade servers and ditch eomm/sbmm. Cheaters I understand is a very hard problem to solve but at the very least you can contagion PC by removing crossplay and keeping console crossplay. That will make the problem better for the large console playerbase. Look there’s not a BR that can compete with Fortnite but if anyone can compete it’s COD but they’re dropping the ball HARD.

To Hector's point - they DID do that with all of the other maps within a big map. They did it in Blackout. And if Blackout was crossplay, slightly less clunky and had been supported like Warzone has been it would still be absolutely crushing today. Now, that's also with the big caveat that if would have to have working anti-cheat, which they obviously do not have. And that specifically killed the PC version of blackout years ago in a matter of months. The B06 movement on the Blackout map with a graphical update and really nothing else changed would be awesome. I'd pay well over $100 for that right now and play that exclusively over warzone 9/10 times. The warzone game loop is awful. Contract > Cash > Loadout > UAV spam is objectively a terrible game loop and gaming experience. It's not BR, it's modified MP on a bigger map with higher TTK. There's so much less variability in the Warzone gameplay compared to other actual BRs.

Favela is in Urzikstan. It’s in Low Town and is re-skinned. Hardhat is also in Urzikstan, as well as Kill House. Sea Town from OGMW3 is as well. Some areas are more modified than others to support BR, but the core layouts exist

nadeshot is on point with cod. they did make the movement better and the aiming mechanics but they keep trying to cater to the players that won't play the game for long. another thing nadeshot forgot is the reloading and setting up tactical around the map. Cold war mechanics on Mw3 maps and mw2 gun play with crits would be dope with mw reloading and nades/field usage, Black ops style backstories and zombies with easter eggs and what not would make the most dope game ever. get rid of SBMM/EOMM and whatever mechanic that makes it baby protection with aim assist and skill based damage. stop creating secret routes on the map and trying to have a 50/50 with the bad players to winning matches. have them play on the good players team in a random search within the lobbies search put the bad player on the good team and pro create the teams based on their stats only to make it more even and enjoyable instead of finding each player of skill based match making. advertise that Call of duty is back and not have pay 2 win skins or weird non Army like skins like weird singers and shows. bring back the case openings to have the company make money on the skins if they really need the money with weekly deals for a chance to win some new skins that make sense like playing dota 2 or League of legends but in Army style skins. cod skins now a days just look weird with satanic gaming style skins with like singers and shows people watch. the amount of players that stop playing cod each year shows that these woke creators need to go making weird destiny 2 skins. the only thing that make destiny 2 good is the actual game play with completing dungeons and moveable campaigns (except he final shape which was to corny and overly weird and woke).

Warzone is a stand alone game mode tied into an already established and published video game. Warzone creates a sense of fear in people and the most valuable commodity, time, a currency people don’t see themselves spending. People stay in buildings and try not to cling to windows for long periods of time. Your either playing the zone or your playing the objectives. It’s unlike another game mode out there. Unfortunately it also builds a false sense of confidence and people playing it will assure themselves of normalcy to playing long hours or using software to enhance your play skills. This game mode will either grow and continue to gain investments; software protection, networking upgrades, scholarship programs, or this game is simply going to die.

If the COD BO6 Warzone is in a competitive state in Asia, you will see who will dominate in this kind of game. It was 1998 when I joined a big crazy tournament from a rich guy from school with a $1000 cash prize. Backtrack before the to ur a. I was an attendant at an internet cafe owned by my Godfather. In our district, we used to duel on Counter Strike 1.3 for $20. Built a team with Rivals then joined local tournaments. Built with frustration, anger, ego, and driven to be the best squad in the city. After the tournaments, (a real trophy) it spread like wildfire help them to learn PAK PAK BOOM! That's how it known for, it is a style to hit a consistent shot of Arctic (one-shot) fired Glock twice after hitting the enemy twice switch to Arctic then Boom! Now, I got demolished on a level 1 in Warzone with 2 bullets with 8 attach xm4 of my personal build. This is your COD Warzone, but I'm better playing PUBG. The real BR

Scump actually wrong on this , that area where the soccer field is , is actually part of the favella map, the soccer field is part of the out of bounds zone by the 141 Spawn in multiplayer, if you run down the hill from the field in urzikstan you run into that house from favella with the little courtyard that is on the outside of the map. I thought nate was going to give an old man take since he doesn't really play warzone but he is spitting. The game is more skewed to a higher mechanical base level , and MWII recognized that but it went way too far trying to nerf those players. The nerf should have been more subtle. If I was a dev one thing I would implement would be you cannot play Controller on a PC. Controller is strictly exclusive to a console. This changes the skill gap. 99% of the people he was talking about yy'ing all the time playing like a crackhead are controller players on a PC 2x the performance of a console , and they are doing stuff a console can't do and even a mouse can't do like increase the polling rate 2 or 3 times over its base rate. Then they are using IEMs and tunning them to basically be the level of the OG turtle beaches in MW 2 2009 with sitrep and you could hear someone from spawn and know EXACTLY which lane they were coming down. You can't give these people Aim Assist on top of it , period. So stuff like aim assist is smoother more responsive which now makes it unfair in the hands of people who been playing on controller for 20 years. You saw Treyarch try to nerf this by nerfing AA but they only did it in the EXTREME case of literal melee when in contact with another player model, once at 10m that AA is still basically a cheat if you're on a PC getting 200 native FPS or 300 fake frames with frame gen. If you play on a PC you should be forced to play on mnk with no aim assist. That would have created a skill gap or at least delayed the skill floor rising.

Early Verdansk, when there was no fucking sliding around, loot levitated etc it was a slower paced game, but it’s because in that version of a battle royale it felt more rewarding to be alive, not like this current generation of warzone. CoD started going down hill when it wanted to be more of a movement shooter.

Also needs better servers/higher server tick rate, audio could be far far better, and imo they should buff vehicles to verdansk level, and refresh the game with new gulag, maybe bring back every single gulag starting from season 1 verdansk “gulag showers”, also SOLO warzone RANKED would be a massive W… there’s lots of people who are solo queuing ranked and with a working anti cheat and verdansk map there would be more than enough players for 3 trios/solos ranked, instead of not being able to play ranked mode half the time cause the squads not online players can just solo grind on the side. Your solo rank would be a interesting thing to show off as well.

This is the illustration that the COD developers don't need any input from competitive players, Nadeshot said the problem with the game is the 20hz and 10hz servers which is more than valid, a triple A game like COD needs 60hz servers, now he says we need slide canceling movement as fast as it can be, dude do you need a brain transplant? people walk out, especially in the US, and they forget their brain home, BOPS6 need better servers and the usual content a COD game should have which is a brand new big WZ map like we had every year, and of course, just the usual anti-cheat they had, this game big problem is Treyarch did a decent job on Multiplayer, the Zombies is just barely average, and WZ is completely absent, the game lacks so much that what frustrate people, and it doesn't look that we will get anything more, the most probable scenario is VERDANSK will be out with a meh!!! feeling and probably most of the issues still present, and after a months people will forget and be hyped for the next one, the next one will be the shit, that is the COD community in a nutshell.

lolll biggest issue is you have multipleeeeee developers making a brand new, from scratch every yearrrr, WZ1 was great because Cold war came out but rebirth and warzone remained the same, vanguard came out and resurgence and warzone stayed the same and the game was at its besttttttttt. imagine WZ and rebirth on the cold war engine lmfaoooo or the vanguard engine lolllll it would have been a disasterrrrrr, The MW19 engine should be WZ and resurgence, thats what worked and was fire, even MW3 but everything else since was so trashhhhhhhhhhh.
