Wimborne market gone. Need to remove the Wimborne market town sign. It’s ruined now. Too many houses and cars.

Such a pity that looking at old films from the 1930s is the best we can do for Time travel... Still, Dorset looked like a wonderful place to be, as it still must be today, I'm sure.

I've only just started reading Terry Pratchet (please don't judge me). I've been watching a lot of him on YT and ended up on this (hard to believe it is ten years ago).. Have to be honest I filled up. Very moving. Wonderful recording of him being so natural, kind, giving, and showing that even standing on a stage with a mic and not writing at his computer he is the best story teller of my lifetime.

He was my dad’s physics teacher too, he said in response to this video “they don’t make them like Doc Strawbridge anymore...”

... really fascinating. Penny mentions “pots for acoustic purposes” [11:30] so I wonder what she meant by that. It also struck me, for the first time, that these East Dorset potteries never seemed to produce ‘mugs’ - or maybe they did but, being so useful, none survived. Mugs are now a staple part of any craft potter’s output, so the lack of a Verwood mug seems baffling. Anyway, many thanks for sharing this ... and the music was great ...

My son and I were up there yesterday. He could see big black beasties moving around in the woods and swore they were bears. Top place for an adventure.

Sad, while the company is still in business, due to several catastrophic floods which wiped out their farms, inventory and supplies, the company has moved and forgone production, shifting into importing and warehousing and only employs a single weaver to make a small range of tradition English fare with sourced willow.

This is the same BOb Walter, married to a Turkish woman and on the payroll of Turkey & Azerbaijan governments. Walter led a team of PACE members that observed Azerbaijan’s last presidential election held in 2013. Unlike every other Western observer who reported widespread fraud, the PACE mission led by this man concluded that the vote met democratic standards. It is worthwile to note that title of president in azerbaijan is hereditary and that the election results were leaked by the Azeri government a DAY before the elections giving the Dictator Aliyev 97% of the vote..

What is the problem with people ?!? If what they have to say is so damned fascinating and just can't wait - why can they not take their conversation outside ?!? Why did they even attend - if they just couldn't shut UP ?!?!? I hope they check this KZbin clip - and know just how boorish they were being . . .
