@taydan042 ай бұрын
@@wolfburgman I didn’t notice any change in fuel economy. Though this bike already had insanely good economy a few percentage in either direction would be really hard to spot. I did however notice free-er revving on the bike with this exhaust on. It was able to achieve higher revs while in gear which meant speeds over 60 were easier to achieve. I found on level road she would get up to 73 before hitting the rev limiter whereas with the stock exhaust it would get to about 60 and refuse to rev any higher.

@taydan043 ай бұрын
@@niall5181 nice! Yeah I upgraded a little earlier than planned, had a crash on the 660 which unfortunately wrote it off. I am absolutely loving the 900 so far. The general comfort is a night and day improvement for me. The bike itself is physically much larger than the 660 which for me is great as I’m 6’3” so the extra leg room is great. The suspension is also a really big upgrade. There’s a section of road in this vid with a strip of newer tarmac in the centre of the road that is really bumpy. The 660 would bounce all over the place going over it. The 900 glides over it so nicely. You can feel that the bumps still. But it remains comfortable and the bike does not bounce while going over them. I’m sure the engine is going to be a big upgrade too. I’m still in break-in so haven’t opened her up much yet. But so far I’m finding this engine allot less vibe-y for sure.
@taydan043 ай бұрын
@@niall5181 oh and another thing, while the wind screen doesn’t look like much, it is MUCH more effective than the windscreen on the 660. You can tell in this video, if you compare it to one of the videos of my 660, all you can hear is wind in those. In this video you can actually hear the bike too.

@@ripmax333 Yeah the thing I miss most about this bike is the incredible fuel efficiency tbf. I’m a big guy. About 110KG, 192cm. And this bike still used to manage crazy good economy. I believe you may be confusing air speed with ground speed. The Concorde’s max cruise speed is Mach 2.04. Which at 55,000 ft is roughly 600knots. 600 knots indicated air speed at 55,000 ft is, depending on wind direction, about 1180 knots ground speed. Which comes to 1357.92 mph across the ground. :) But in short the plane is flying at its maximum speed in this video.

@taydan04 I just did some research because I assume you to be speed bird. Now 600 knots calculate about 690 mph. That's not fast for the concord. Unless it's a video game speed.

@taydan045 ай бұрын
The speed and altitude that she'll get to is highly dependant on air temperature. This video was shot in the summer with live weather enabled so was unable to achieve the full cruise of mach 2.04 until quite far accross the atlantic. :) When in service they were rarely ever flown at 60,000ft due to concerns around repeated exposure to solar radiation on passengers and crew. 50,000 - 55,000ft was a much more common cruise altitude.
