Update for 2024: Someone is currently making a replacement for the PS1 driver called DKWDRV which can load PS1 games off USB and adds a bunch of other features. It's still in an early state and only works on certain slim consoles 75000-90000 with the Deckard CPU, but it can play some games like Crash Bandicoot pretty decently

I didn't think I'd watch this whole thing, but the way you dramatized a semi-interesting topic was just soo great. Thanks! haha

Can you get USB 2.0 up and running under Windows 95?! That's the biggest drawback in using Windows 95, the lack of any proper USB support.

Il2cpp is not faster than IL running on a proper CLR. Its faster than mono, which is rather poop

To add to what I said 3 years ago... I ran Win98 (not SE) on a Tyan 440BX system with 1GB RAM for many years. No special tweaks -- if the chipset supports it, Win98 happily uses 1GB RAM. Also did not have the 47 day rollover bug (this is actually Win98 banging into a bug in the system timer chip) and boasted uptimes in excess of six months... and in about ten years of daily driving it never crashed, not once.

I put some proxy software on my own website to get around the filtering on school computers. I did the same thing though and told all my friends and it spread like wildfire. Eventually IT found out and they blocked my website and suspended my school account for a month lol

Are the capacitors in parallel or series? I wonder if it would have even mattered that you broke the solder pad, maybe it just didn't need all the caps.

14:35 I remember using this to edit portraits for Starcraft custom campaign somewhere at 2005-2010 era, finding it back then was a hard thing as it was already super obsolete but never versiouns couldn't safe files that Starcraft would read.

Unless you have a specific use case for a Hackintosh I feel that the trouble of setting them up aint worth it. If you want a Unix like system most modern Linux distros are much easier to install and run than Hackintosh for example.

Thanks for the video. I can feel your pain stepping through generated asm code. I'm also into Windows app/game preservation and do that kind of stuff for fun even though its frustrating, there is just something nice about finally figure things out. I guess its like doing a puzzle.
