My husband passed away 2 weeks ago. I had to listen to this tonight to take me back to ❤our first date. I did not want to fall in love with him. This song spoke my feelings for him and we were together 20 years. His loss is still raw in my heart and soul but I'd do it all over again, in a heartbeat. To be able to see his beautiful eyes and fall in love all over again.

this song is one of the most memphis summertime songs ever. i was out earlier and it was cloudy and still hot as hell, and this song came to mind. all we can do is wait it out. this song makes me think of nights 20 or more years ago at the old hitone on poplar, or at the deli. you were always liable to end up covered in hickeys, or dancing with someone that you shouldn't, or there would be a bar fight, or some such shenanigans(usually covered in other people's sweat) it was a special time in memphis. so much good music, we were so spoiled, haha. you couldn't swing a beer bottle without hitting a musician
