I got these but they dont fit in my keyboard. None of them actually (bridge75, aula f75) I managed to get one in eventually but i had to play around with it for a long time, otherwise im afraid i wouldve popped a socket out. So i ended up not using them. Any idea why? (yes ive tried more than just 1 switch)

I do not, as the only HE boards I have arent really good at accepting other switches.

@@BokehhBob Which keyboard is it? There are 2 types of HE switches. You should check out the Zoom75 HE :)

@@Authentyc boog75 which only accepts the boog switch or it bricks the pcb, ask me how I know lol. I also have the Chillkey65 which is HE and uses the same switches I think. HE compatibility is weird.

@@BokehhBob Oh yeah I've heard similar experiences lol. Boog75 uses the north facing Gateron KS-37B switches like - Dual-rail Jade Mini E, Dual-Rail FOX, etc. The other switches are Gateron KS-20. It's confusing, I wish they would stick with the same PCB compatibility 😂

It sounds more clack than thock, but i think adding foam and tape will make this way better

It’s really on the deeper side compared to any “clack” switch. Adding tape and foam make all switches sound the same.

My clouds have absolutely no scratch to them at all. I have the 63.5g variation, maybe that's why. Either way, I love them.

compared to other HMX they have a slight scratch, but I like it. I tend to like scratchier switches.

They’ll be very similar, but the rainy support via and is better quality imo.

Good luck receiving anything in any sort of timely manner from these clowns. They are a Chinese drop shipper and things they ship often get stuck entering the country. I ordered key switches from them a little over 3 weeks ago and it took 1 week before they shipped and another week for the shipment to leave China. Now the shipment has disappeared from tracking and nobody knows where it went.

Quick release is only available in their 'international' GX87 Ultra model available on Indiegogo. All their indiegogo models (GX87 Light Max and Ultra) also offer QMK/VIA support. Why they decided to release new versions with the same model name as their China version available on Aliexpress is a mystery to everyone, since those are just different, inferior keyboards...

Yeah lol so many HMX switches (im on a mission to get them all lol) its getting a little silly however they're always high quality and i've honestly never had a bad batch (lube job etc). Got some of these switches coming soon cant wait now after seeing trhis video they sound real nice, thanks :) GMK mecha 01 is such a great set :)

I would say Xinhai, Sunset Gleam, Cloud, Jammy, Blue Topaz, v2u, cheese and KD200 are all right in the same clackiness/loudness of a Neon.

what would be helpful is to know if there is spring ping. Many HMX switches as an example I purchased still needed spring lubed. So what I do is take a set of 60 and see how many sound bad out of 60 and tells you how good a switch really comes to you. There are very few switches that come needing just a few out of the batch adjusted. It so upsetting to get a new switch and have to lube in 2024.

Weird I’ve never had issues with HMX and spring ping. I didn’t hear any in these.

Some people and also pickier than others when it comes to switch lubing. It’s all personal preference at the end of the day

Yeah i put every switch up to my ear before it goes into the board to make sure each key is at its best :) - Some people will not take that much time and effort.
