Fun fact about Tapu Lele pin collection. Somewhere in the middle of the announcement of the pin collection, and the official release of the promo in the Celestial Storm blisters, a store in France called Auchan released the "Tokopiyon Coffret" which was a Four-pack box including the Psychic Tapu Lele Promo, as well as a jumbo version of the Tapu Lele GX from Guardians Rising. You can find this by searching "Tokopiyon Auchan". This gave France access to that promo months before it was accessible anywhere else.

Fun fact about the Pikachu and Raichu promos, they were featured in the card catalogue on Pokemon TCG Live Beta and you could craft them for ~400 credits, but upon the official release of the game, they were removed.

This was a grand watch. One card I’m not too sure if it’s real but you didn’t touch on is a full art print for the Plasma card Shadow Triad. I believe a Japanese image of the card was teased on Pokebeach but it never ended up released

If you make a sequel. I would suggest mentioning the Japanese tournament cards from 2000 that had the players on the card. Not a lot of people talk about these and there's some cards that are still lost to this day

imo the true holy grail of Pokemon TCG collecting, more so than Illustrator Pikachu or any other single card (aside from maybe the Super Secret Battle No.1 trophy card), is a complete collection of the Pokemon Snap cards.

I think its worth how the M Charizard and M Blastoise decks essentially replaced the Landorus EX Genesect EX entirely. It was also the last time we saw these decks focus on Expanded support via reprints of the "tournament level Trainers" as future decks like Rayquaza GX vs. Ultra Necrozma GX focused on Standard play. The end of the Expanded support on two competitively negligent choices of Charizard and Blastoise instead of on two former goat cards (Landorus EX still did see play at the time too) is a real disappointing end to some of the best products ever.

It was probably for marketing reasons, and for reasons running deeper than simply slamming Charizard into a product. I would argue that the last two Battle Arena deck sets (the set of two decks in one box) simply weren't that successful. The Black Kyurem EX and White Kyurem EX Battle Arena, and, for that matter, the Rayquaza EX and Keldeo EX Battle Arena Decks, are still sitting at below their MSRP seven and nearly eight years later respectively. Maybe I'm wrong and the originals sold fine, but the fact that they first switched to Kanto starters and then to meta decks for Standard implies that the Expanded support model simply wasn't working. It might have worked at first with the Mewtwo EX and Darkrai EX one (probably because it featured Mewtwo), but ironically the "bad" Battle Arena set (with random Xerneas and Yveltal promos) and the Legendary Battle Decks for the Plasma birds seemed to be far more successful than the last two Battle Arena sets. It would be nice if Genesect EX and Landorus EX weren't $7 cards, though.

@@WhimsicottTCG It's great, it just suggests that they might have been just as overshadowed by similar products back then as they are now. By the way, I don't suppose the decks would have featured the Team Plasma promos for Landorus and Genesect? Getting the Landorus in America and just getting those cards more accessibly would have been great.

@@e7193 It's not the worst (I noticed that Landorus EX is closer to $10), but it's a lot more than you'll pay for a Keldeo EX or Rayquaza EX, or either Black Kyurem EX or White Kyurem EX, which were featured in the aforementioned (poorly selling) Battle Arenas.

I’m playing it for the first time right now. It’s my third Pokémon game, I didn’t finish my second (Sword and Shield). My first was Sun and Moon and I’m trying to play through Platinum but it’s much harder without the experience share.

It's an unfortunate situation but the fires are on Maui not Oahu (island that Honolulu is on). It shouldn't impact worlds as the main airport is on Oahu as well. Depending on the outcome of the fire and exactly what it burns, it might affect tourism on Maui. I'm glad Pokemon donates to these causes and I hope wild fires do stop in Hawaii.
