I didn’t pay attention to the lyrics but the song was almost like an emotional or spiritual journal. Not sure I like the singer’s non-metal vocal parts. Don’t dislike them but he’s got such a strong voice in the few songs I’ve heard. Acidentally stumbled across them like a decade ago and listened to their newest album back then. Kind of forgot about them, but now I want to listen some more - thank you for bringing them back to me :)

Yes, I knew Taylor was Cindy Lou Who. Been a fan of TPR since 'Heaven Knows". Soundgarden was one of her favorite bands growing up. To go from the thrill of opening for an idol, to losing Chris Cornell overnight. Yes "25" is from the most recent 2021 album Death By Rock and Roll. She was 25 when she wrote the song. The album may seen dark, even referencing the '27 club', but Taylor said it is more about wanting to live. Video was one of 3 shot at the same time in NYC during quarantine. YES, check out "Only Love Can Save Me Now" featuring Soundgarden's Matt Cameron and Kim Thayil, also one of the 3 shot. The title track is awesome, it opens with a recording of Kato's footsteps. Also check out "Rock and Roll Heaven". And the one part of FTF's "Masquerade" reminded me of this TPR song.❄

Thank you so much and yeah, I have seen some people not enjoying this song. Guess they can't appreciate a band expanding their horizons or artistry.
The male vocals throughout are by Troy Donockley, and his outro section is truly emotional. Bravo to all.

I began commenting your programs yesterday, I wanted to go back to your first reaction to Tommy. I follow several Tommy's reactors, and I have to say that you are my favourite because you really appreciate his talent. And I agree with you when you say Joakim's voice fits perfectly in Sabaton, he is a great singer and a great frontman Good job! Thanks

Great reaction! Dan's performance in this video is mesmerizing! All of his performances are great, whether it's a cover, his original music with Fearless or with Orion's Reign. Dan sang for Orion's Reign (symphonic metal band) for a while and their cover of Thunderstruck by AC DC is EPIC! They also do some fantastic metal Christmas songs.

The allusion is to the October 7 massacre and the hostages held by Gaza terrorists. The original lyrics are called "October Rain" rather than "Hurricane". Search youtube for October Rain

During the 4 years they recorded Divisive, two of the band members' marriages broke down. Drummer Mike Wengren got divorced early in the pandemic and guitarist Dan Donegan went through a split in early 2022. This song is about a disintegrating relationship where each party struggles with letting go. It was inspired by the ending of Donegan's marriage. "That was a really personal one for me," Dan Donegan told Billboard. "During COVID-19, I was going through a divorce after 18 years of marriage. Part of that divorce process is that there was still a great deal of love we have for each other, and we couldn't imagine our lives without each other. Just that letting go, letting somebody go that you still love, but maybe the marriage just might not be working anymore... It was touching on that. It was just very personal." Donegan came up with the concept, then wrote the lyrics with Disturbed singer David Draiman. "I threw a few lines at him, and he took the ball and ran with it." Donegan said. Then Feb 2023 David Draimen also got divorced.

The song story is 2 lovers, that live lives as a pair, and die in this live, they go to cosmic, then meet again in next live, the journey goes on and on.. Best song on album imo, Shadows, Synesters brillant guitar solo, and the drum roll at end, love it..

You look like you're having so much fun with this! A reactor who actually reacts is nice change. I was at FOX_FEST last weekend and they performed it live twice and it went off so unbelievably hard on both days. Both groups looked like they were having the best time performing together. I have a feeling that we will be seeing more BM x EC collabs in the future given how successful this song and and how much they seem to like working together.

I kind of wish you would have reacted to her Eurovision performance instead as that one is much closer to the music video, but nice reaction regardless!
@DaneBramageROCKS4 күн бұрын
Thank you but I do as many as possible leading up to the finale, but part 2, most of the final performances are not available here, only through a TV app that blocks recordings. I am with you though, I wish I could as well.
@Kalakeiko4 күн бұрын
@DaneBramageROCKS Wait, so the official Eurovision performances are unavailable in your area? I've seen a lot of Americans react to them, so I'm surprised that you can't watch them. Sorry for assuming that you can!
@DaneBramageROCKS4 күн бұрын
@@Kalakeiko some are. Eurovision is hosted on the Peacock network here (NBC) and they have exclusive rights in the U.S. and block any video recording programs. Maybe the other U.S. Reactors have a VPN or something.
