How is knowing the Word of God somehow in competition with knowing the God of the Word ? We know Christ, the Shepherd by His voice, and that voice IS His Word. The Word was with God, and the Word WAS God. Christ IS the Word made flesh.

I love this man. His heart for the truth of the word is the very antithesis of contemporary pep talks that mark the vast majority of pulpits today. What part of Matt 7:14 escapes us. The way is hard, the road is tough; it's filled with insults and suffering of all kinds. Yet we've bought into a theology that tells us that it is God's desire to bless us now. Forgive us Father for rejecting the plain meaning of your Word. We do so to our eternal damnation.

I remember a time where preaching like this was common place, but I never thought I'd see the day, where you can hardly find this kind of preaching anywhere, unless you look on KZbin. Now days, we have churches where it looks more like a concert rather than a worship service. The preaching of the Word of God looks more like a self help seminar, to tell you how to live your best life now. The altar call to repentance has been replaced with the sinner's prayer, and prayer itself is hardly even found in these churches. The Holy Ghost fire has been replaced with entertainment, cause without the Holy Ghost, you have to have a way to keep people coming back, so you use entertainment as it's replacement. And some of the stuff they allow in some of these churches, would make the world blush.

Hey brother, you are correct, but who are you preaching to? Cars? I don't see too many people outside and if they are, they're not paying attention. I applaud your efforts and sincerity, but if I may give you some advice, it's more effective to witness on a one-to-one basis as we do. Pass out tracts and when you give one to someone. tell them that this is about the Bible and Jesus Christ who offers you salvation. That usually opens the door to witness to them about His saving grace and mercy. Sometimes it opens the door to standing there and praying with that person. Been doing this for over 50 years.

Must that silly music be there in the background. It's so distracting! It's painful that such powerful messages are reduced to "coke & popcorn" because some sentimentalist decides that background music makes the message go down well! Well, the whole thing gets choked in the oesophagus! I had to leave after 3 mins because of that painfully distracting background music. 😢

The music is for emotional manipulation . That’s what they do before and during alter calls . It’s modern way . I hate it . There is no just reason for it other than to create a mood .

We must know God in all his love, mercy, and grace, as well as in his holiness, justice, and righteousness. We must know our salvation is a work of God's grace, but also that this faith by which we are saved is worked out, that is, made manifest outwardly, as imitation of Jesus Christ. If it isn't character made new inwardly by the work of the holy spirit, it is just pharisaic whitewashing. However if it is desperate colaboring with The Lord, then the yoke is light, and we are sanctified by absolute dependence upon him. That is faith in Jesus Christ, which propels sinful man in the spirit of God, to walk as Christ did, and be animated as a saint who is in communion with the holy spirit, to do that which the father wills. Oh how much easier said than done this is! Physician heal thyself!

Oh, set my heart on fire. When I was a teen, I was so inspired by his book "Why Revival Tarries." I was 17 years old then, so young and innocent, yet desperate and hungry for the fire of God, with the dream to travel the world as a Missionary. In my closet, I prayed for Africa, the Americas, Eurasia and the lost world. Had my heart branded by the love of God and my eyes stamped with eternity. My local church was transformed after the resident pastor, Pastor Lot, asked me to give an opportunity to give a sermon. Fast forward, 15 year later, in the midst of busy chasing dreams, earning a living, raising a family. Time stood still as I watched this video, and relished the nostalgia of those glory day, I yearn to return to.
