Thanks, now I can take it apart, and I'm slowly learning about the parts, I replaced the battery, didn't fix it (it doesn't start) I guess the next step is to find more videos on diagnosing the problem, what can wear out can , the hard drive?, the poser supply? and how do I test them. onward.

Yeah, honestly the 3000 mark IV is by far the most useable. It even has a fuctioning selection button that is pressed when selecting something

Is there documentation on how you made the simple little antenna and even the led connected the light up RF detector? I think what you demonstrated is a fantastic teaching tool

Many comments here regarding the rushed nature of this video, which normally I would find acceptable being that the viewer can always slow down the video if they feel like they need the time to absorb the material covered. But judging by the amount of errors in this video, I'm more inclined to assume that this is down to vanity or arrogance. As this subject matter is aimed at entry level, simple basic errors are unacceptable as novices will take in the contents of this video without questioning it and taking it as fact. For example, one basic error, but very important is at 2:40 where is is explained that current flows from base to collector, which is so wrong it's unforgivable. Shortly afterwards she contradicts herself, but this time correctly, but this gives mixed messages and questions the tutors intelligence and accuracy. If you feel comfortable making videos at that pace at least be humble enough to have it proofed before publishing.

I know a few other upgrades you could add to R.O.B. to make him even better!... A.I.! make rob into fully sentient personal A.I. Robot assistant! Give him a cool retro 80's style robot voice! Maybe even give him a set of wheels so it can get around on its own! And maybe even a charging station/pad so it can go recharge it's self when it senses its battery is getting low!

PS One great game was F15 Strike Eagle tho I think it struggled to rotate the vector style enemy planes. Would be cool if something like this could enhance.

It may be easy to design a SMPS for you, but really it was the data sheet’s design in this case. I haven’t even got to PCB layout yet. I know what types of components I need and where they go in the circuit, but don’t know their values and can’t find a transformer in spec so I must be doing something wrong.

I still love using my PiTop3, and upgraded it with the 3B+ board. I just WISH they had released a new hub module that would fit the Pi4 or Pi5. I know Pi4 had reversed LAN and USB, but that was corrected in Pi5 thankfully. Hoping that someone designs a board to do the same job, but for a Pi5 then this little monster would be much better. I did see a Waveshare CM4 to Pi3B adaptor, but it seems there will be some cutting involved in the base to allow it to fit :(

I am late to the party here, but I just found this great video! The machine you show a sample photo of at the beginning is actually mine! I can add a little info; mine is from 1975, and the machine actually has a Godzilla connection, because it alludes (in an unauthorized way...because Japan) to Ebirah, a giant lobster-looking monster ("ebi" means shrimp) from GODZILLA vs. THE SEA MONSTER!

At about 11 min, the physics that you are looking for is simply that accelerating charged particles emit photons… except bound electrons. It is described by the classical Larmor relationship.
