I think nowadays homophobic people shouldn't really be suprised about lesbians being in tv shows. I watch a lot of tv shows and I have to say, since 2019 to this year, their has been a significant amount of lesbians in a tv shows. I do say I sometimes am suprised myself when watching a new tv show from this year for the plot and being suprised that their is a lesbian romance,etc in it. I think pretty much all of the tv shows I have watched this year from different genres and languages have had a lesbian romance in it.

Lesbians and the gay community existed and for the most part were accepted in the 90s - more then any decade before it. People then just didn't make such a big deal about it, not like today - where there's this Christian boogeyman that's been pump into the media and the education system. I’m biased but I interpreted it as asexuality. I’m ace and I resonated with a lot of her thoughts about how it’s what you’re ~supposed~ to do even if you don’t actually want to, but honestly since I have no thoughts and feelings of attraction to compare it to, I thought “Maybe this is just how it is for straight women??”. Then she actually discussed relationships between women and women and it surprised me, and it made me think further about the intentions of the author by including that. After this video I’m pretty well convinced. One thing’s for certain, no matter what she would identify herself as in a more modern and informed era, Esther seems to have zero sexual attraction to men despite that she is expected to be. If the Disney era is over and we move on to the adult relationship, if there is one thing I am grateful for, it is that TLP is elevating Sapphic productions to better scripts, visually full of details and the ability to go beyond just stories with toxic relationships and clichés. Freen gives it more emotion than Pin has in the book, she is doing a very good performance, just like B with her role as the princess, she always goes against the current and does what her heart tells her, she is not afraid of adventure.
