Gunna buy a 2021 XLE next weekend and I'm pretty confident it will be a great car for about the next ten years (maybe!) I currently have a well loved 07 Accord and it's great but becoming scary. I had my ball joint blow at highway speed. At the time during the actual event, I thought I was gonna be the next Des Moines/United 232 crash landing lololol thank goodness we suffered only the obvious broken axle and a bent fender. Could've been much worse. This was back in February. I had it repaired and I put about 25k miles on this year afterward. I'll keep it around for a while probably til end of winter or make it my spare. Looking forward to all the new bells and whistles of this Toyota. Mind you I grew up in a 1996 DX Corolla, a 07 LE Camry and my folks have a 2010 Matrix and Sienna. I always loved older Hondas and actually wanted to deviate from my parents choices however I can't believe I'm actually going Toyota now LOL quarterlife crisis

So only one issue is with RF. The visor and blind spots are the same in the soft top while the infotainment is like that in other Mazda products. The ND3 updated the infotainment but overall it’s not worth the upgrade.

No one mentions the bloody ownership anxiety of this thing. If you live anywhere with unpredictable weather mainly the tropics, you'll second guess taking it out. The inner conflict of saying: Well the weathers nice now, but will it hold up? Its unfortunately what has held me back otherwise I'd be driving mine daily. So that's a piece of advice for anyone, if you can't stand the fact you won't be driving this thing when YOU want I'd think about it. In my personal case its either take the car out when the skies are clear or take out my XV if the weathers too bad, or wait until its summer. So any chance there's good weather I take mine for a stroll, specially on weekends. If you're already digesting the idea this car will be your summer car well you're on the right track then. My 2024 RF is almost reaching 3,000km and its been nothing but smiles if it were my only car I'd be having some issues.

Someone may have pointed this out already but Mazda will retrofit any of these NDs with CarPlay for $400. Sucks that it costs so much, but really wonderful that they offer it, because I can't think of any other manufacturer that will. Good video. Still struggling with whether I'm setting my sights on a soft top or an RF. I want the soft top, but I have no garage to keep it in, worry about the top being cut, and like the idea of a quieter ride with the hard top. But the wind buffeting and the 'targa top' version of the convertible seems like it might be too much of a compromise for me. Is the wind buffeting bad in the 50mph range? I might not be hitting 70 with the top down very often anyway, but I'd like to enjoy a top-down experience on country roads that are typically around 55mph.

With the roof open and windows down, it’s not great. On the highway, keep the windows up and it will be loud but not super blustery.

I got mine because the aftermarket mods are literally endless. I like to put my own touch on cars. And the jeep is the perfect truck for it. Its similar to a Harley sportster. The Sportster base frame has been around since the late 40s. But the aftermarket support is absolutely limitless.

What sort of work have you had to do?
@luisarsuaga7637Ай бұрын
@carcrazyguysa4059 it's a long list, but here it goes: -AC compressor -Shocks absorbers (front and back) -front and back sway bars -2x Oil pan replacement do to oil leak -2x water pump -Coolant reservoir replacement -Engine mount (current one need replacement) -2x transmission mount (current one needs replacement) -Dogbone mount -3x of all oil sensors/switches -Oil filter housing -Some part below the oil filter housing that needed replacement due to improper oil pressure reading. -Control arm bushing (made old car noises) -transmission positioning sensor -transmission valve body -transmission axel seals -transmission torque converter seal - driver door lock -hatch door lock The car currently has just reached 100,000 miles, it has a random missfires at idle that no one knows how to fix. Dispite the attempts to fix the transmission issues with the replacement of the valve body and seals, the transmission is still slipping in the mornings and sometimes even goes into limp mode. There might be other things that I might be forgetting, but these are the ones I have in the top of my head.
