This car actually made me like driving. Last year when I was in need of a new vehicle, I started looking around at luxury sports sedans and came across the Giulia and immediately became smitten. The massively overblown reports of its supposedly horrid reliability initially scared me away, but I always was drawn back. Fast forward to February of this year, I picked up a 2017 Giulia in immaculate shape for just $16K, and I've never looked back. Alfa Romeo has been open about the fact they're not really concerned with being the last word in technology or luxury, and all their focus goes toward the driving experience, and it shows. I actually look forward to having to go somewhere now, because the car just makes me happy. Even nearing the end of its lifecycle, I think you'd be hard pressed to find another car that drives quite like the Giulia.

I have a Ti Sport, and I've found that fuel economy, especially on the highway - and even at speeds around 70-80 mph (110-130 km/h) is not just good, it's exceptional. I easily get averages of 35-40 mpg on longer highway trips. I'm 5'11" and have no issues with the seating; and the interior quality is just fine. Just remember, the money at Alfa went in to the chassis. You're getting the best driver's car, for the money, in the world.

The Giulia 2.0 litre Turbo 280hp (in various guises - US/Euro specs) is probably the best value 4 door sports sedan/saloon in the World right now. It's a true Alfa in every sense of the word apart from reliability. After owning a Veloce (MY21) for 3 years now in the UK, it has given me no trouble whatsoever. Reliability is up there with the Germans, make of that what you will!! I look forward to driving it every day unlike my past BMWs and VWs. Great driving experience and a head turning as its quite rare here on our roads. Only the downside, AR dealers are a little thin on the ground here. Good video...

So far from what I've seen, I have not heard a single Giulia 2.0 owner not happy about their car's reliability, aside from simply replacing their battery. I think prospect Giulia 2.0 shoppers can be rest assured on that aspect.

I have identically specked 2021, trofeo white. Love it. Maybe next year I’ll trade it up for QV but this Giulia is 80% there as is.

I've a 2018 Ti Sport Q2 (mechanical LSD and driver-adjustable, adaptive suspension) also in Trofeo White Metallic over Red/Black. At 83, this is my sixth and final Alfa. What wasn't mentioned was that the seat construction is identical to that standard in a QV but with different upholstery covers. Alfa Romeos are for people who appreciate the art of driving!

I think the interior is much nicer than other brands such as the new BMW 3 series (used to be my fav brand)...the Alfa feels special with its real Italian leather seats, dash and door package...reminds me of Ferrari materials (starter button for example and most everything was sourced from Italy). I've had every brand over the years and nothing drives better than the Giulia in it's line up. If you want to feel special at this price range...this is your best car for you! I get more head turns and compliments in my red Giulia Veloce than anything I've owned! Thanks for the review!

I, too, own a red Giulia Veloce and it's the best driving car I've ever purchased. I'm watching the 2024 presidential election to see if EVs will be mandated in the future. If so, I'll be buying a later model Giulia than my 2020 so I can be driving one of these far into the future.

Yup! I have a TiSport w/carbon fiber package. It literally doesn't get any better than real carbon fiber, real aluminum, and real Italian leather. Alfa Romeo leaves BMW/Mercedes/Audi/Genesis in the dust and is on par with Ferrari & Lamborghini

If you live to drive, this is the perfect sports sedan 💯 I have a Giulia QV that I daily drive. And yes, get that extended warranty for peace of mind.

R mode is programmable (got it in mine) Screen backup camera is adjustable (mine is full screen) radar cruise control is an option but is also programmable (you do need to buy the knob on the steering wheel) The Giulia is an easy car to work on and upgrading parts isn’t that expensive in Europa, don’t know prices in the US market.

Thankful they went with their own subdued infotainment system -- that's a feature, not a bug. Not everyone wants huge touch screens in their face. I'm buying this car because this is the only brand currently speaking to my personal tastes.

You get a sub and a like for the Napoleon Joke, haha. I'm actually watching a series on the Napoleonic wars, what a coincidence. I hope to enjoy a Giulia 2.0 TI Sport sometime in the future. Thanks for the review.

Independent reliability and customer satisfaction studies were done on many different vehicle brands recently. The study proved that Alfa-Romeo received a higher reliability score than its German rivals. BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi were much lower down the list. I'm from South Africa, and Alfa-Romeo was always available here, but they're not very popular brands, but that's why I love Alfa-Romeo's so much, they've retained their exclusivity. BMW Mercedes-Benz and Audi's has become too much of a popular and predictable premium brand choice.

You mentioned Alfa Romeo hadn’t sold a car in the US since 1995, that’s incorrect. Alfa Romeo sold the 8C in the U.S. starting in 2008, followed by the 4C starting in 2013.

You’re right. I meant to add a note that I was talking about mainstream/higher production cars; that’s what I had in my script. Looking back I guess I forgot about that when I was editing the video

Would you say that the rear wheel drive or all wheel drive is the way to go?

The enthusiasts choice is definitely the Quadrifoglio,..it is true perfection..,damn its such a great car to drive on long curves as you blip the downshifts of that beastly engine and razor sharp chassis,..All Hail the QV!!!

It takes a few drives to acclimate yourself to the shift paddles location, but the results are worth it.
@DomSchiavoni2 ай бұрын
The turn signal & wiper levers are set back so you don't accidentally hit them when shifting with the paddles. You have to pick a priority and Alfa choose correctly.
