These are the best warmup exercises for guitar that I've found. Thank you very much for this.

I’ve done these exercises for decades for the reasons stated. Ok - this shouldn’t be happening but I’m beginning to realize the exercises are actually irritating my back. They always have. Everybody is different. I believe these are beneficial for the majority of people. My body does not respond well to them and pain ensues afterward when straightening up.

i woke up one day and felt like someone has bashed my wrists. Then after lots of googling realised this is what i have. man it is painful. I am 50. i do wonder if it because i have been a bit sedentary after working from home since 2020 lockdown. it is great having experts guide me on this.

Do you have any advice for professional musicians (piano) which caused it in the first place? This is my livelihood. I've been using the prescription cream and doing stretches. I still need to do my job in-between though.

Great video thank you so much! Went to an OT this week who told me there are no exercises that I should be doing and that I should just keep it in a custom brace 24/7 for three months straight. he seemed bothered that I hadn’t got the Cortizone shot yet and told me that I should just go get the surgery. I’ve been doing these exercises and I feel so much better.

How am I just finding this? Amazing video, concise information, great examples. Felt immediate flexibility and comfort in my wrist that has been deformed because of a bad wrist. Thank you. Thank you for allowing me to play my guitar with longevity in mind

Great video. I had issues a few years ago and couldn’t fix it for nearly 2 years. As a professional musician it was absolutely horrendous. I occasionally get tiny flare ups and the information in this video is not only informative but also very helpful to treat the issue.

Once I was having a show in the winter. I put on a capsaicin cream on my right wrist to help me warm up. That was 2 hours before the show. Then we warmed up in the rehearsal room, but my right wrist and hands were cold as hell. We arrived to the place, but they didn't have great heating, no running hot water. I drank a hot tea, maybe it will help. But no. My right wrist and fingers were cold. We started playing the show with cold, stiff hands, I managed to go through it; the moment I left the stage my right wrist started burning from capsaicin cream . It was utter madness, the cream should have worked in 15 minutes. But apparently without blood flow it didn't do anything.

As a pro bass player and volley ball setter, I just do this 5 minutes before doing anything on the upright or electric bass, you don't need no more stooopid scales and patterns warm-ups after that, the muscle memory just work at 200%, no finger trembling because of stage fright, that's why I always bring a VB ball at rehearsals and venues, tours... plus, it can be fun with your colleagues ;-) kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYfCk4qgjK6Urq8
