Thank you for your question! Hemp seeds (bhang seeds) are completely safe and non-intoxicating. While they come from the hemp plant, they do not cause intoxication. This traditional recipe from Uttarakhand has been cherished for generations, celebrated not only for its unique taste but also for the nutritional benefits of hemp seeds, which are rich in protein, healthy fats, and essential nutrients. We hope this clears up your concern-feel free to try the recipe and enjoy this flavourful delicacy!

I would like to try this. But I will use mixer if you don't mind. 😅

Thank you for your interest in trying the recipe! The chutney was prepared on a silbatta as traditional stone grinding enhances the flavour profile and helps retain nutrients through its gentle process. However, it’s absolutely fine to use a mixer if that’s more convenient for you. The chutney will still turn out delicious. We’d love to hear how it turns out for you! ♥

Thank you for your feedback! 😊 Hemp seeds (bhang seeds) might not always be available in local stores, but you can easily find them online. We've provided a link in the video description for your convenience. Hope you enjoy making the recipe!

Very good recipe.Can you pls tell us which mixer grinder you r using.

Thank you for your feedback ❤️! We are glad you liked the recipe. We used the Bosch TrueMixx Pro Mixer Grinder, 1000W for this recipe. For larger quantities, we would recommend using a wet grinder as it helps achieve a smoother, finer paste, which makes a noticeable difference in the taste. Let us know how it turns out for you! Happy cooking 🧑🍳

Can we use normal urad dal, without its cover
@Jeerige2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question! Traditionally, Chainsoo is prepared with whole black urad dal, including the skin, which gives it its distinct earthy flavour and rich texture. Using skinned urad dal won't achieve the same depth of flavour or texture, as the outer layer is crucial to the dish. For the authentic experience, we recommend sticking to whole urad dal. Happy cooking! 😊👩🍳🍲

It's not curry
@Jeerige8 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! You're absolutely right that SolKadhi isn't your typical curry, but rather a refreshing drink that's perfect for the summer. However, it's also commonly enjoyed with rice, particularly in coastal regions where it originates. We referred to it as a 'summer curry' to highlight its versatility and its popularity as a refreshing accompaniment to rice during warm weather. We appreciate your input and hope you enjoy it both as a drink and paired with rice if you give it a try!

Are you going to make Chai or Biryani Chai?

Masala tea, as the name suggests, incorporates a blend of spices to create its distinct flavour profile. These spices add depth and richness to the tea, making it a delightful and aromatic experience. Thanks for noticing!

Mine is cracking and sticking in bottom
@Jeerige9 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Cracking and sticking can sometimes occur due to variations in heat or the consistency of the batter. Here are a few tips: 1. Adjust the Heat: Ensure that your pan or griddle is at the correct temperature. If it's too hot, the dosa may cook too quickly and crack. Avoid cooking on high flame. 2. Batter Consistency: The batter should be thin and watery, akin to buttermilk. If it's too thick, the dosa may not spread properly and could crack. Adding a bit more water can help achieve the desired consistency. 3. Quality of Rice: Keep in mind that poor-quality rice can lead to cracking of the dosas. 4. Grease the Tawa: Make sure your tawa is well-greased before pouring the batter. Preferably, use half an onion (as shown in the video) or a piece of banana stem to ensure even distribution of oil. 5. Use a Well-Seasoned Iron Tawa: If the tawa is not well-seasoned, it may result in sticking. Let us know if you would like us to upload a video on how to season ironware. 6. Practice Makes Perfect: Neer Dosa can be a bit tricky to master initially, so don't get discouraged! With practice, you'll improve your batter spreading and cooking techniques. We hope these tips help improve your Neer Dosa-making experience. Happy cooking!

How much masala tea can you drink in a day?
@Jeerige9 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. Consuming tea in moderate amounts (1-2 cups a day) has been shown to be beneficial for the body. When preparing masala tea, it's important to consider your body's tolerance to the spices used. If you're sensitive to heat, you may want to reduce the amount of ginger used. Additionally, take into account the season when determining the quantity. During monsoons and winter, you might find yourself craving an extra cup. Happy cooking!
