@@theweekthatis there is no way to save the case with 500 logo on it… have to figure something out. But no complains, at least it works! And finally: there is no message about low battery on the car dashboard :)
@avdejev11 күн бұрын
@@veits.5717 the case is completely ruined, unfortunately. But the key works! There is circuit board inside with CR2032 battery on top, covered with the case and filled with transparent epoxy. The battery is on the side with the logo under the “5”. You get the idea if you place the CR 2032 battery on top of the key. If you have mini tools, like dremel, the best way is to cut all rounded edges on the perimeter and slice the top cover with a knife from epoxy. But still you’ll have to cut the battery out from epoxy… I tried to warm epoxy up. It gets soft, but not enough to help with disassembly.

I guess it works via RFID. While waiting for my Electroverse card to arrive, I tried using the app, but unfortunately, none of the charging networks-Genepoint, Chargepoint, or Podpoint-worked. I had to download chargepoint app to get it working. But thanks to your video it made me feel better, I'll try soon with Electroverse card.

Question, if your fiat 42kw version? I just bought it 2nd hand and it is missing the label with the table you show in the video. Even worse, i have to replace tyres and not sure if i need ti buy load index 87 or 91 (the only ones that Michelin produces in e-Primacy range)

Propaganda. You're burning the material of the rest of the car. Diesel tanks and their contents won't explode like batteries will. The fire starts in the electrical system. The rest will burn, but the fault is not with diesel per se. Diesel needs to be super heated or compreseed.

If a new one has been fitted without knowing to check if it's gone off in transit and the biting point is right at the bottom could this be the problem. I'm thinking it would be the opposite and at the top and the problem is it's stuck and not self adjusting

Makes you think it's just greenwashing. Just ticking a box for green credentials or some sort of planning requirements but totally unsuitable for expected use. We have a new supermarket that's green with 10 x 7kw chargers installed for customers who spend 20mins max shopping - they don't get any use - could have had a single fast charger. The opposite of your hotel issue. Totally agree with your comments about Tesla superchargers, never any toilets or 24/7 food.

A new iphone every year! Consumerism at its worst and depleating the world of its last lithium reserves 🤦♂
@theweekthatisАй бұрын
Yes, after a year I burn the battery so it can’t be recycled.
@FramptonBtwАй бұрын
@@theweekthatis Only 50% of a lithium battery is usable after being recycled, and most councils can't be bothered to pay for the recycling as it's expensive so it goes into landfill. Furthermore, other rare materials are also in your iPhone, quite a lot of which are mined by children who are paid pennies. I'm not trying to give you a lecture on morality but maybe just spare a little on buying an iPhone every year and wait a few generations.

or go with refurbished. Thats one of the best things you can do for the economy and your wallet.
@theweekthatisАй бұрын
Who do you think buys the phone in the first place before it gets refurbished? What a crazy thing to say. I buy a new phone every year or two, then my wife has it for a year or two, then my Dad has it for a year or two. Then I use it for another couple of years as my backup camera for KZbin. After about 8 years I normally get a new battery in it and sell the phone on facebook marketplace. The video you were watching was recorded on an old five year old iPhone. My iPhone is the single most important thing I own, so I like to have one that is new and reliable. But sure, carry on with your preposterous argument.
@FramptonBtwАй бұрын
@@theweekthatis "Preposterous" Sorry for not knowing your entire family phone sharing situation, and simply only thinking critically about where we put our cash. And the point about buying refurbished is still a valid argument because someone else has gotten use out of it before you, hence 1 less phone being manufactured. Enjoy your collection of phones and the blood, sweat and tears along with worldly damage carried with them.

What's this connector for
@Goodbye_MegatonАй бұрын
This particular one, is used on a handful of connectors in the wiring harness of Audi's and Volkswagens. This exact one, is usually used on things like coolant temperature sensor, knock sensor, brake pad wear sensor, hood contact sensor, and A/C compressor sensor. I think it's even used on brake fluid level sensor. Sometimes they corrode, rodents chew the wires, or they just mysteriously sever cleanly like they've been cut. Your air conditioning stop working in your car? Check the electrical connector for a break in the wire. Knowing that, saved me possibly $500-$1000 recently on my Audi A4 B7. It was severed like it had been cut, about 1/2 inch out from the connector. I have a temp fix on it, but this video has helped me understand how I am going to take it apart and fix it permanently.

Big difference now between 'OE' parts and 'OEM' parts.. 'orignial equipment' and 'original equipment manufacturer.'. A lot of OE parts are outsourced ( China), OEM means as fitted to the vehicle originally and should be a much better quality... the manufacturers don't care too much for the post finance owners now, so 'OE' parts are usually supplied by the parts department. Trouble is a lot of JLR stuff is China origin to start with now anyway... hence the TERRIBLE reliability issues they are becoming renowned for.
