It must have taken you ages to paint all of that with a brush. I would highly recommend a paint sprayer. It is way more efficient and considerably less laborious.

Always use BONDING primer first, than paint to avoid this .

Why is it common in America to place the microwave above the cooktop/range? I think If you had a steaming pot on the stove and were reaching to the microwave you could get steam burns. And for shorter people the microwave would be quite high to reach. I live in Australia. I have never seen this here.
