My neighbors have one and I feel so sorry for it. They treat him like a golden retriever. Poor girl.

So no one got to me in the beginning stage of that cancer so now 3 years later here go to the Infectious skin Specalist because I had at the time unstable blood and still have seizures from the pain and blood loss. I just got cleared from the Blood Oncologist yesterday he told me yes you have Vons Wilebrands but you are lucky you have Factor 8 and the Angent so you are cleared for all your major surgeries. Now it is removal of my womb before the cancer as the Plastic Surgeon is to scared because he will have to remove my whole nose and check my jaws too. We will see how it goes. Mine was caused by all my FFA, Livestock Showmanship, my ranching and growing veggies and fruits so alot of sun time.

Thank you. 1 year post prostrate caner surgery. Totally life changing. Now BCC on the bridge of my nose involving the ball and both nostrils. Been seeking treatment for past 3 months. Finally get consult with surgeon in another 7 weeks (2 months post biopsy) with surgery 4 to 6 weeks after that, and I am watching it get worse every week. Your words about people saying "just cancer" are oh so true.

Cracked me up by the second line...you must be some kind of organized lady to do a YouYube video in a Chick-fil-A drivethrough line, lol! BUT, I have an adult step who tends to go ODD in...the...car...where there is no escape, and the escalation etc. is really unsafe...we spend a lot of time stopping and starting, lol...plotting routes without bridges and expressways, lol. Any hints on how to deal with this in the car where no one can de-fuse, this would be much appreciated.

I actually got something similar, currently diagnosed at dermatology clinic. Little white dot on side of my nose, same area. They are recommending the mohs procedure. It’ll get set up in the next month or 2, maybe after holidays. I’m a 70 year old man, always been outside a lot. Thanks for your videos, and thankfully I’ve learned from several videos about basal cell surgery

You look great. I am a thyroid cancer survivor and I was so fortunate that it didn’t spread past my thyroid and I only needed surgery to be disease free. It 100% changes your life. There is not enough talk of how cancer is very lonely and we need each other. Sending you the best ❤.

I’ve had numerous Basel cells cut out of my body. So far none from my face. But I know it’ll happen, as I have fair skin and live in the skin cancer capital of the world. I have been sunburnt- badly at times where my skin has blistered and my skin red raw. My earliest memory was when I was 3 or 4yo and suffering burns to most of my body. It’s a miracle no cancers have been detected on my face. But I’m going for another skin check next month and guaranteed there will be at least another 4 that will be found and surgically removed. I’ve got a few suss looking spots on my face, but some cryo freeze will hopefully take care of them. So far free to I’ve had 12 removed from my body in 3 years - mostly my arms and upper neck and leg. My last visit I also had squamous cell carcinoma removed. They’ve been lying dormant for years and now they’re popping up everywhere. Please use sunscreen and a hat. Not everyone can afford a plastic surgeon so you don’t end up disfigured.

I had mouth cancer and lost my palate and half maxilar bone (with teeth). People can’t notice it, which is good, I just have some eating issues, and speaking in English (not in Spanish or French, though, due to the different tongue movements) takes much more effort now.

Love that positive attitude! I have a yearly body check with my VA dermatologist as i have skin cancer in my fam. She found a tiny bump on my head (I have thick long hair) while scanning. It was basal cell. 1 month later I had MOHs surgery on my scalp. It was a MUCH less dramatic process as it would be hidden by my hair. 3 years later I have an awkward lil bald spot:-) Moral: Don't forget to check your scalp!!!

Everyone facing skin cancer must know about Mohs surgery, Imdur cream, flushing niacin and fulll body mole mapping. Not every dermatologist does sadly.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I had the same procedure but started with a slightly larger bump on my nose due to an improper diagnosis and treatment from a previous doctor. By the time it was correctly diagnosed it was pretty substantial in size but I was very fortunate to have an excellent plastic surgeon who did the "forehead flap" procedure. My results are not quite as good as yours (yours looks flawless) but very good considering how much material had to be removed in my case. The lesson here is early detection and if you feel uncertain, get a second opinion.

I grew up in the 70s so we "laid out" constantly. and living in western WI we tanned early. there was one year that my BFF and I actually shoveled off the deck to lay out! Baby oil, the Silver blanket, all of it. now I have had over 10 Basal cells removed, and one squamous. thankfully the squamous was not invasive. My most recent exam (I am on a "every 6 months" schedule) revealed more. One basal easily removed with excision. but I am having three MOHS on my head and face. The first invasive basal the removed was on the top of my head. Not surprising as I never wear a hat and I have blond hair-it is in my part. after it was done, I have a T shaped incision repair for a quarter-sized removal, and it is about 1..5" on all three legs of the T. They shaved my hair to cut and repair, so I have a "yamulka" sized spot right on the top that is now a crew cut. the next two are on each temple. The first MOHS only left me with a 2" scar near my hairline. the third, the other temple, is coming up 8/13, and I wonder what that will look like. I told my husband I will be more scar than skin! Thankfully, my pale DD watched most of this happen, so she never exposes her skin without heavy duty sunscreen. she has beautiful skin, too! (and when did "suntan lotion" become "sunscreen?" that was a very subtle change.
