Back around 2010 or so we departed London Stansted one fine summer morning. It was a typical Stansted day, 5 Ryanair 737’s and an Easy Jet bus behind us. We followed a 737 who turned left on departure while we were turning right. As we passed about 100 feet above the ground some young sounding voice keyed the microphone and asked the tower if the Gulfstream was ok because it seemed to be smoking a lot. Without missing a beat the tower says “yes that’s how we know the engines are both running”, I immediately followed that with “it’s the original version of TCAS”.

That's my home airport, EVV, Evansville Dress Regional Airport, Indiana at 4:25. Wow, you flew over my house as I live just west of Evansville, they use the EVV VORTAC just SW of my house. From EVV they usually head to LIT, TXK, and then direct into DFW. We have AA Eagle (Envoy) that flies twice a day to DFW as well as AA Eagle (Piedmont) to CLT, and AA Eagle (Air Wisconsin) to ORD. We also have DL Connection to ATL. We use to have DL Connection to DTW, but it was suspended, as well as UA Express to ORD. I hope we get their service back, especially DTW. In your video you are looking NW at our runway 4/22 and runway 36/18. I, too, flew the AA MD-80 series aircraft many times, I love those JT8D's, nothing like that engine today. Thank you for this awesome video. You made my day!

3:45 👈🏿that noise part.. Does anyone knows exactly where that "slam the tin cabinet shut" sound is coming from upon liftoff? I remember hearing this similar bump sound upon liftoff back in December '75 when returning home on a B722 on two flights (same plane). I ask bc when you watch a plane lift off, it looks so smooth, so why the shutting noise.🤔
@someone_random1049Ай бұрын
Probably all the luggages in the overhead bins moving because the plane begins taking off at an angle at that moment.
