Support can't "drive" the car. It can only give the car remote instructions on what to do but ultimately it's car's choice/decision. The only one who can actually sit in the driver's seat and take control are Waymo's Roadside Assistance employees or, in extreme cases, police officers (that I think so, after verification. see Kamala Harris incident).

Last year i was two times there. You had to apply and on the first time I didn’t got accepted. Now I think it’s open for everyone. The second time, before they opened it for everyone, I got accepted and only used waymo. The uber drivers there are not even looking at the street most of the time.
