Congrats on earning an extra month of runway Mitch! The extent to which you're able to expand that runway is the currency that will ultimately determine the degree of your success as a budding entrepreneur. The fact that you’re already making progress along those lines augurs well for how things turn out the remainder of this year.
@mitch7w9 ай бұрын
Yeah hopefully can extend it a few more months

Hi Mitch. Software Engineering will still be around for a while. I know you are panicking because of Devin AI but there was also a similar hype when Chat GPT was released. After we used ChatGPT, we realized that in most cases, we have to modify that code in order for it to work. Also this AI was trained using public repos and it is unclear of the complexity of problems which this AI managed to solve. It could be that it is solving a lot of basic problems but not complex issues. I think Software Engineers will be around forever. We will never reach a stage where AI bots will work on their own. I think this AI might reduce the demand a bit but it will not replace most Software Engineers.

Spoken like a horse who has just seen his first Ford Model T. No I agree, but the nature of work we do is about to change dramatically - writing basic functions and UIs will not be a junior dev's job in 4+ years. I'm excited for what the technology will enable a single person to build though!

excuse me for my language but, How much do you bench Sir?🤔
@mitch7w9 ай бұрын
Not enough! My bench is my weakest lift at about 120 maybe 130kg one rep max. It's been a while since I've done 1 rep max testing and I've lost weight and strength for the running so not what it should be. Will get back onto the hypertrophy train post half-marathon
