@@HistoryWolfTours My last living relatives who fought in the war all had one thing in common; towards the end seeing the world the way it had become thought they messed up, shouldn't have fought, or more commonly - that they fought for the wrong side. Hearing that from old veterans was heartbreaking, but it made me resolute.

not a jet, most likely a glider with a tiny rocket that lasts long enough to get on the air, and that "engine" is actually something spun by air to provide power to controls(basically a generator)

My great uncle fought here as part of the 109th Infantry, 28th from Pennsylvania. He was later wounded by a German machine gunner in September and made it home. Later, on his application for compensation, he spelled it, "Chattury." He was a coal miner without much education.
