instead of tapping into the blue wire, will tapping into the interior OE panel fuse box on the drivers side with a continuous 12V+ fuse tapping into the dome light be enough to imrpovise? So fuse tap from the footwell lights into dome light fuse slot in OE fuse box, then run the FW Lights negative wire into terminal (30) of the relay. The PB Switch getting 12V+ from the ignition (another fuse tap) PB goes into Terminal (86) of the relay. Terminal (85) & Terminal (87) of the relay is grounded in a aftermarket fusebox which connects directly to 12v battery which the battery is chassis grounded.. Will Terminal (87a) grounded anywhere like the screw that mounts the interior OE fuse panel box or even the amazon fusebox thats connected directly to the battery still work?? Coming to the fact that everything within the circuit is grounded to the chassis, sharing one main ground. Ive had an idea on doing exactly this on what you did and came upon your video. Im just not a fan of tapping into OE wires let alone messing with the airbag areas like the A pillar.

@@Itsgregguys I bought them Amazon but they are no longer available. But you could just find any cheap 2 pack of 10” fans. Theres also a ton of videos on how to wire e-fans to the relay and the relay to be triggered by a stand alone switch or to come on when other accessories are turned on. Some people run the fan relays to the a/c condenser so they automatically turn on with the a/c to make it colder.

Because tires over 35” combined with rock crawling use will blow out the stock steering rack very quickly. In addition to having larger components the tundra steering rack is easier to rebuild at $30 for a rebuild kit.

I understand how to wire the relay to the switch, but how do you wire the orinal wires from the rock lights to the relay? I have 3 wires from my rock lights, a back, a red, and a blue.

Ok I followed ur diagram but I connected straight to da battery instead of da dome (blue wire). So I used a switch illumination harness from tacomabeast. So green wire goes to pin86 n da red wire u connected to dome but I tapped into da rock light positive (wire to battery with inline fuse). Everything worked as supposed to but when I use da switch in da cab to turn on da rock lights it also turns on da dome lights. So I untapped from da rock lights positive wire (da inline fuse to battery) and used an add-a-fuse but same result, dome light turns on with switch. Any clue wat I did wrong or missed?
@Tcodyw887 ай бұрын
If you’re talking about the ch4x4 switch’s the green wire goes directly to 12v constant power and the red wire goes to 86 and when you push the switch it send power to open the relay. 87a and 30 are connected when 85 and 86 don’t have both a power and ground on each, once 85 and 86 have power and a ground then 87 and 30 become connected. The ground wire from the dome light should only be used to trigger the relay to open (86). The dome light should not be directly wired into the rock lights, that is the purpose of the relay to keep everything working together but not directly wired together.

I think I finally understand what you did. So your diagram picture and your explanation I understood differently. You connected your hot wire from your switch to the 12v + blue, The negative wire on the switch to 86 on the relay. Then connected 87 and 85 to a ground. 30 on the relay to the negative on the rock lights/footwell lights. Then Where did you connect your rocker lights/footwell lights positive wire? I connected my switch to a 6 panel fuse box and my rocker light positive wire to the 12v blue wire. The lights come on with the switch but not the door.
