She should've gotten in touch with the FIL, to understand why the MIL, wasn't living with him. FIL should've moved the money into an account, so His wife had no access to the retirement money.

I like stories like these where the guilty person gets what they well and truly deserve. There is always a family member to not get on with. It wouldn't matter how much the daughter in law tried she would never be accepted by the mother in law. Always criticising and put downs. The good thing was that her husband and sister in law were on her side. The husband knew what his mother was like and how nervous his wife was in her presence, but he hoped it could over time be resolved to a happy solution. But it won't be. He knew his mother would never get on with his wife and accept her, so he made the only decision he could. Cutting ties with his mother, if not there, there would be a time when the marriage would be under strain and could cause the end of it. And his mother would have won. So he did what had to be done. As for his mother trying to apologise, it is an empty one. She won't mean it and will be back to her old self in no time and will be hell-bent on being worse in her behaviour. And the real shame is now she has a grandchild on the way but will never know. And it is all because she just could be accepting.

So what happened to the last girlfriend? Did the Mother-in-Law let her go or kill her? Did Mark also try to hide the Mother's crimes or was he innocent? If he was innocent why would the new wife leave him? How did the drugged girl get from a packed wedding reception to the MIL's basement? Very poor story telling.

In the US, where this story is located, you do NOT apply to med school or dental or law school until your senior year of college. And they need to stop with the full scholarship thing, which seems to come along with every admission, even though a FULL scholarship is very rare. Being an ENT or even training to be one is also a full time job and Op would in no way be able to finish college or med school while doing that. Please AI, we all know these stories are fake, but at least make the effort to get a little bit right.

If Mark was beside Her, when she started to become faint?? He should seriously be questioned by the police for ANY INVOLVEMENT, with the bridge going missing. The FIL/Husband was a Total spineless coward to keep helping His TOTALLY Deranged wife, for Always wa t to keep Her son, by Her side.

I like this one. Short, sweet, and not filled with the usual tag-lines like...the smile did not reach her eyes, he ran his hand thru his hair, "something snapped inside her" and a million more copy cat statements that these stories mush together. And the wife was not a whining, pitiful door-mat who enjoyed years of misery because she was too simple-minded to walk away. Any story over 25 minutes is 89% adjectives and adverbs and fundamentally...boring.

MIL Olivia is the ROOT OF ALL EVIL she is vindictive, toxic and cruel. She is the type of person that will never see anything wrong with her actions and how she treats people. The way she treated her DIL is cruel & heartless... but I'm glad all her kids can clearly see how she is now and witness her evil ways. Mark should have seen it and believed his wife from the beginning that his Mom was a Narcissistic b!+@h!!! They all need to CUT ties with her and get rid of her once and for all

I don't usually comment on these videos, but this time I have personal experience. My mother was always hypercritical of me - whatever I did wasn't good enough, and if it was good then for sure I hadn't done it. I suffered and endured for years, till her criticism hurt our daughters. During spring-cleaning, my young-teen daughters came to help her clean her house and yard (this was the custom before the holiday of passover). Then our older daughter told me that grandmother criticised her for not being as enthusiastic about cleaning as her younger sister, and at the same time our younger daughter told me that her grandmother criticised her for not being as thorough in cleaning as her older sister. At this point I became mamma-bear - I sat down with my mother and told her this was completely unacceptable. Unless she changed her behaviour and became supportive and encouraging instead of critical, she would lose her granddaughters' help and company - I would not let them come over. My mother agreed to try to change, and she succeeded beyond our expectations! Our daughters were much happier spending time with grandmother. Grandmother used the positive, encouraging behaviour with her other grandchildren as well, and repeatedly told me that I had taught her to be positive, and how much fun it was. As for our daughters, she became their biggest fan and cheerleader, following their career with interest, coming to their presentations and graduation ceremonies. When she was old and partly senile, her grandchildren would visit her often and bring her great-grandchildren to play at her home, so she could enjoy watching them. She had earned their love!

What's with these stories bags and shoes is that all you writers think about. Just because you get divorced doesn't mean that you can't still be friends with the rest of the family after all they aren't responsible for that person's attitude and actions
