Unfortunately the game would have to be installed under both Windows and Bazzite. There is a method for sharing an SD card between the two OSes, but might be risky.

Yes you can boot from SD card, you just have to format the SD card to NTF to be viewable in the boot menu

I own a ROG Ally. Use everyday. I can do way more stuff on it than you can on your legion or gamepad. It's a powerful Win 11 computer. I put a case, screen protector on it and have it docked to my monitor. I used to travel with a laptop. Now it's Me and my Ally. I agree the bezels could go away. But for handhelds... Do you really need anything higher than 1080? for 400 bucks it's a no brainier for me. Does everything I want and does more than your overpriced waste of tech handhelds.
@Benjorbius
@Benjorbius Ай бұрын
I don't own any of the handhelds, but what I hear from people who own the rog ally is that one of the major reasons they got it is because of it's VRR (variable refresh rate) which makes playing games smoother. They always bring that up when choosing the rog ally over the legion go. I personally prefer the legion go because I feel like navigating windows on such a small screen like the rog Ally's would be crazy.
@essowbyte
@essowbyte Ай бұрын
Yes, VRR is good, but the Legion Go gives you the option to manually set the refresh rate of the display. With a bit of tweaking, you can achieve a better experience thanks to the superior screen on. I don't understand why Asus would put an ugly screen with big bezels on a $400 handheld
@Benjorbius
@Benjorbius Ай бұрын
@@essowbyteagreed, I feel like at at that price point you’re much better off buying a steam deck LCD and side-loading windows. That’s if you really need to use windows for whatever reason. Edit: Looks like they just released windows drivers for the OLED one yesterday.

Your game is stuttering because you have either frame cap or vsync on brother. LOL so maybe try to turn that off like they tell you. And you don't gain frames from windowed mode you gain frames from playing @ 900p LMAO

I almost bought a Go when I wanted to get a new handheld, but what got me to get the Deck Oled was it being a handheld with much better battery life, HDR, OLED display, touch pads that is amazing for the controller customization for games and the OS is much better to play games. I wanted a console like expired since I prefer console gaming (don't play much games on PC) and the Deck with quick resume after sleep is amazing and I didn't care about online games for anti-cheat as I am done for now with multiplayer games.

et Condition SteamDeck 512GB onLCD with 4GBvRAM and 16GB System (also vRam) Shared (so 11GB system and 4GB Video and 1GB as hidden System ManagmentRAM i suppose) It has a fully Custom GAMER oriented chipset that ROCKS TITTIES HARD! --- Mind you, it's a couple years old now and all the "New" systems try to copy it or try to beatt it but CAN'T unless they use Super "Z" Rated Chips (also from AMD) and they CAN't use SteamDecks Custom Chipset because its ONLY for SteamDeck by Cooperative Effort of Steam and AMD ... the Leagion Go is about $1200?? No thanks lol. I'm happy AF with my Steam Deck, which BTW can stream its games to ANY Resolution over WiFi to ANY machine with Steam Installed, I was streaming games to an old Core2Quad with an AMD 5770 from a Mac Pro 2013 jammed in there and it was pushing 2K at 60FPS on Soma No Problem, Easy, No Lag... Sweet!! With a little tinkering you can stream out to your Amazon Fire Stick or Google TV Box, There is really not much the Steam Deck can't do if you have the Know How, and if you wanna install Windows on it (Yuck, just Ugly) you can. Or you can run a Windows VM with Direct Dedicated Graphics Passthrough so it will run just as fast as if it was running on Actual Windows Haardware. The SteamDeck is AWESOME... I even had Android installed on it for a little while (RemixOS) and it was DOOPE! It's not the SteamDeck, It Does what It's supposed to No Problem, it's a Develoopers Dream Machine as a matter of my opinion... and its gonna be a Long Time before Hardware of the same or less Watts per Flop can beat it... Untill then, anything that is trying to beat the Steam Deck SURELY isn't able to do it with the same TDP, because "Z" (aka RaceTires) versions of CPU/APU processors are gonna be found in other units that use MORE energy to do the Same or Comparable Workloads... Not saying at all that the Leagion GO has inferiior Hardware at all... It's a DOPE machine, Higher Specs, more Complex Instruction Sets but that takes Power, like he said, 30 Watts... whereas, the SteamDecks Custom APU has Gaming Specific Instruction Sets built in that saves Cycles and Power... and it still has the Instructions that are required for OS applications, but the "Z" rated APU's have WAY more Instructions and Maths etc, and that takes power, They are Faster, but not more Efficient... the Steamdeck can pretty much "Keep Up" with the 30Watt TDP that the Leagion GO runs at, while only using about 10-15 Watts... and its Allso easily upgradable to Burst into 30-35 maybe 40 Watt cycles, of course it's not Recomended, Heat = Bad... My spelling is also Shyte

SteamOS is ppretty great, some of the Older "Made for Windows" games are a pain in the arse to get going, gotta try all kinds of different stuff like PortProton, Lutris, Wine Windows Program Launcher" (not WineQT yuck) but, you can get just about anything ready to go if you really wanna play it. not really hard to do... just not a lot of good videos on HOW to do it... or What Things DO, or How to USE the THINGS... you could do avideo on that and get a Million Views righht off the bat...

Tampering with the OS and shutting off shit like the firewall and AV for maybe a few extra frames is a terrible idea. The illusion of speed in the UI can be achieved by just disabling transparency and user interface animations without installing this sussy shit.

For anyone having trouble DO NOT try at the bottom to open it. See where the lip of your screen is on the sides? Slide your nail between that and the back. It opens easily that way. Also the buttons are part of the case they come off with the back.

A few notes: - You have to *temporarily* disable Windows' security features to install the AtlasOS playbook because it makes many changes to Windows configurations and Windows does not like third-party software doing that. You will have to do the same thing with any software like this. - To be clear, there is no long-term security risk to installing AtlasOS in particular as compared to simply using other tweaks/hacks to disable Defender and other security features -- which, by the way, AtlasOS DOES NOT DO by default. AtlasOS has no security risks or implications. - Lastly, AtlasOS devs may make a lot of big claims about performance but the real benefit of something like AtlasOS is that it gives a very convenient package that "fixes" a lot of complaints people like me have about Windows 11. It's a very quick and easy way to "fix" a new install. You didn't talk about it in the video, but AtlasOS puts a folder on your desktop full of configuration scripts that you can use to toggle a ton of obscure and hidden settings. It's quite handy.

As someone who has both devices my self, my conclusion is that the legion go is the most powerful and can pretty much run anything smoothly as long as you can tweak the settings. But for overall experience with a smooth operating system and simplicity the steam deck wins hands down as it’s so easy to use and navigate. But for me personally I just love the Lenovo go with the screen and how versatile it is, yeah sure it takes some getting use too but when you get the hang of using it and your head around everything, this machine becomes something of its own. If you are someone who liked to play your triple A games and it’s too bothered about 4K graphics and just want to play your games on the go then the legion is great as long as you can get used to it being a hand full to get your head around. But if you are someone who just wants to hop on a system when ever and quickly load up your favourite indie game then the steam deck is the one for you, it’s so easy to just turn on and start playing right away, something that the legion go lacks. Yeah sure the steam deck can run some triple AAA games well and the community aspect is unrivalled. On the steam store every game has a ranking system from in playable to somewhat playable to playable and this shows you if it works right out the box, or if you need to tweak some stuff to get working. Personally I’m my opinion it depends on what you want from the consoles. If you want simplicity and easy to use gaming then get the steam deck. But if you want something powerful and unique that can run basically any game and you don’t mind tweaking setting the legion go is the one for you. Hope this helps as you can tell my reviewing skills are shite hahah

I traded my steamdeck oled for a legion go. I thought I got the deal of a lifetime but I ended up missing my deck. I really hate the resolution this has, it'll rip through your battery life and i now have it set to 800p. Not sure why its such a high resolution. The only thing different is that i can play 2042 and warzone. I am looking forward to using steamos on this handheld. Thank you for this video man. But i miss my steamdeck!
