I started to put the cheap Eko VPJ 280 V through its paces (I gave it to myself for the first 1k members 🤫). I must say I was pleasantly surprised, both in terms of comfort and sound. Obviously it remains a cheap bass (with all the associated aesthetic/functional considerations) and only time will tell me more about its reliability. For now, I'll let you be the judge of the sound. Let me know in the comment what you think about it 😉

A sincere thank for people like you making these blues instructional videos and keeping the music alive! Just yesterday I applied a few of these licks jamming with my friend adding my own flare. "Gimme me a line in the key of G" he said and there we were playing some freeform good old fashioned 12 bar blues! I love the music more than anything and after a solid year of learning blues on bass, I crave it more and more each day as I advance to new levels. Can't wait for the next video. Looks like I was the 25th like so let's do this! Thank you!

Nice cover, beautiful Marcus Miller 5 string:) I rarely play my 5 string bass, but this would be a great song to play. I bought it about 5 yrs ago to learn the song by mister mister-Broken Wings. Which btw may be a great song for you to cover:) lol
@Max_TheGrooveHackerАй бұрын
With the 5 strings initially I had difficult relationship. Coming from years and years of 4 strings, I couldn't get used to it. Just preserve and then another world of possibilities opens up 😊 Broken Wings is a beatiful piece. I think it can be played with the 4 strings as well. Maybe I'll make a video on it, also to valuate what sound to use. Thank you very much 😉
@la196Ай бұрын
@@Max_TheGrooveHackerI love that 5 string feel for that piece compared to 4 string:) The B string adds such an entirely new dimension to the instrument for many songs for sure. I felt the same way regarding adjustment for my 5 string. As you mentioned, I needed to give it more time and "stay the course" to achieve that adjustment:) The main thing for me is my 5 string is a heavy beast which wasn't great for the arthritis in my neck; even with a wide strap:) I'm typically sitting while I play so not as bad. If you ever do decide to cover it, I think your Marcus Miller would serve it well to give that extra depth:) Haven't picked up my 5 string in 5 yrs so maybe it's time again! Thank you for the encouragement!
@Max_TheGrooveHackerАй бұрын
