It can be. You could spend as much or as little as you want, with trade offs though. Just depends on how much up front work and time you have. I would guess with his method it would be about 60 bucks for a 4ftx8ft bed. But you could go and harvest a bunch of green manures and mulch heavily. Do that in the spring and let it break down all summer. Come fall your bed will have a huge jump start. Maybe plant some cow peas as a cover crop too. For a few bucks you can get a bag of them at the grocery store. I have done this many times.

@@TreeAmigosGrowers I hear you. Here in Central Florida, weeds forever even through my ground covered with 3" ht. - crushed #8 gravel rock over a geotextile fabric. Several Florida weeds can grow even in moist rocks. Wind distributes them around. We find sunken gardening so much easier to handle, more economical with satisfactory harvest. Air pruning pots vs fabric air bags is sooooo impressive. Such little pot of soil in relation to the plant size with healthy roots is witnessing a miracle. I spent more for air pruning pots but pays for itself. I placed it over a container with water for capillary action. It controls the moisture 24/7 vs shock from watering. No water wasted, easy plant feeding with least amount of work.

Hey Cisco! This process is a seasonal jump start. We do this at the beginning of our winter and summer garden beds. For maintenance, we apply plant food every four weeks. If you’re ever near Davie, come on by! We provide continue support to our gardeners :)

Whenever you see ants on your plants, you should continue to apply until you no longer see them. The ants are good signs of pests to come since they farm them on your veggies

You can boil it like a regular potato and eat it as. It makes GREAT starch too! The starch is so good there is a national snack food in Colombia called Achira made from the flour. They taste pretty similar to Cheetos

Yes! This is a type of Cannas Lily. Cannas Edulis to be exact. We like to cal plants by the name of the local regions. Since they call it Achira in the Andes where this is from, that’s how we call it. I wanted to show the cooking and will show how to eat it in the future. It’s been a busy time for us and I don’t have my set up for food videos. But it goes like this. Peel it and boil it, or peel it, slice it thin, and make chips. Or peel it, grind it, dry it for flour

It’s the end of our winter season, but the beginning of our summer growing season. Much different plants grow now than the rest of the year (think subtropical and tropical food plants). Right now some items include hot peppers, eggplants, snake gourd, luffah squash, walking onions, okra, pigeon pea, taro, malanga, and sooo much more for veggies. The calendar focuses on Vegetables, Culinary Herbs, Medicinal Herbs, and Multifunctional flowers. I dont think it would be super accurate for you. You'd have to use it as a reference to tweak since we are different here in 10b

You can plant immediately :) We recommend not waiting more than two weeks if you will wait. I didn’t show it, but I tried to share that after clearing it’s GREAT to let weeds sprout for the next one or two weeks before planting. Set yourself up so your gardening maintenance is soooo much easier.

Maintenance videos definitely coming up! We are trying to release these in a way that gets you from begininning to end in your garden (I don’t know what I’m saying... there is ever an end lol!)

Hahaha! Weeding (no lie) is one of my favorite things to do. I get to shut off everything and just move through the gardening tightening up all the edges. When I’m done and I look back, it’s one of the greatest feelings of accomplishment for me. Some might say that’s sad, but for me, it brings me so much joy lol!
