What if the activities that brings your para joy doesn’t align with your lesson plan or learning objectives. I’ve had this happen to me and they take things personally when you explain learning objectives. I’ve had teachers assistants that want to force children to learn how to write their name etc… I really do think a teachers assistant or para should have at least an associate college credits in early childhood

How do you use your calm down area? Mine want to play in there and it ends up being either 4 kids playing in there or a time out area. (Which we are not supposed to do) but no kid has ever volunteered to go to the calm down area.
