Hey mate, what's the bracket that you have your strap going through to mount the gas bottle carrier to the spare? Would appreciate to know, bought the same carrier but have no idea how to mount it!

Hey Mate, Wondering if you could tell me what exact titans draws those are because I can’t find any specifically made for the 120 series x
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 4 ай бұрын
back in the day when i got them they were specifically advertised as a draw set for prado 120. now i think you just buy the 900mm size twin drawers, and a 'wing kit' to suit prado 120. I'd suggest to contact 4wd supa centre to confirm that's accurate but that's my assumption.

Mate… that’s a setup to be very proud of ! 👌🏻 Maybe a dumb question but have you done something to make your kings air compressor stop when it pressures up ? I have one but I don’t think it stops like that at a high pressure. Maybe it does 🤷‍♂️
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 7 ай бұрын
If its a kings thumper max dual compressor, it should have an inbuilt pressure switch, you don't have to do anything it just cuts out when it reaches a certain pressure, which if your trigger is closed and it's not leaking anywhere it should reach that pressure very quickly and just cut out until you open the trigger or whatever again which will turn it back on.

Firstly: before you put allll that extra weight and bling on, did you upgrade your suspension?. I assume not. You will be near GVM before you know it with these cars. Trust me I know because that was the first thing I did to my 120 and boy does is handle better with the extra weight. I eventually removed abit of unnecessary weight but still getting up there.
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 9 ай бұрын
In this video it was stock suspension but since then I have done a bunch more to the car, soon after filming this video i upgraded the suspension which was a good upgrade to do. It is quite common and easy to get near to or exceed GVM with these cars I know that.

Wow, what an awesome setup! Very, very impressive. How did you mount the fire extinguisher - is the bracket drilled into the step by the rear seat? Great solution to get it out of the way. Love the removable divider and shelf idea too. Thank you
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 10 ай бұрын
Hi mate, yes - 1 hole is drilled and just a nut on the back of the plastic, and then got 1 longer bolt of the same thread to go into the original threaded car body mounting hole.

Hey like your set up. Wanting to put a shelf and divider like yours in my Toyota prado 2018 150. Just wondering what thickness wood did you use? Also how exactly did you attached it to handles. I can see the O bolts on the actual shelf but could t quite see how it attaches to the handle up top
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 11 ай бұрын
It was so long ago i don't remember to be honest, wood i would guess around 18mm. Attached to the handles by getting some threaded eye bolts that goes into the same thread as the handles. then another eye bolt on the shelf, and then a turnbuckle that goes between those eye bolts. and back the back just bolted to the cargo barrier.

What an awesome build! In the off chance that you see this 4 years later: Do you ever have issues with rain leaking in through the door seals where you have run wires from the roof and into the car?
@chappelle121

Nope, never had any water come in there. I have since re-wired those and ran the wires just to look more tidy. I now have them come out of the left tail light and up to the roof there.

depending how many wires you want to run up there, the best and most popular way is probably up the side of the windscreen, you can often tuck them into the side weather strip. In my case I had so many wires i also have them coming out through the door seals which I wouldn't say is ideal.. If i did it again i'd do it neater up the front or back. Best to have a google of this and look at some pics.

How did you get the wings to sit nice and flush instead of being raised?
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 2 жыл бұрын
mine are not perfectly flush, but flat enough for me. The way to fix it is to put a bit of wood or a "sub floor" under the drawers to raise them up slightly so the wings can sit flush. I just didn't want the extra weight so didn't do that

Hey mate, I’m trying to do what you’ve done by ratchet strapping the gas bottle to spare wheel. I’ve got the same oztrial gas bottle holder but realise you’ve got some other small attachment between the holder and the tyre that it looks like you’ve bolted the holder to? Just wondering what it is, where you got it and how you went about doing it

I just went to bunnings, wondered around and just found something that would work. What i used is something called a "grunt e track fixing plate". If i was to do this again now i would just buy the kaon gas bottle bracket, google that and maybe that might be a better solution for you :)
