I've been to the Birch Creek Ranches several times in the past. Been a long while now. Everytime I had been there a BLM Caretaker lived at the main Birch Creek ranchhouse. Didn't look occupied in your video anymore. Camped at the Morrison Ranch downstream a bit. What a cool place to visit. Just don't get caught out there if the roads are muddy! Kind of cool you found the old lava rock coral and used it as your camp. Your video captures the ranches and area really well. Lots of history and other cool ranches along the river.
@The_Doberlanders_Adventures3 ай бұрын
We have been to Birch Ranch a few times now and haven’t seen a caretaker but the place is in really good shape still. We have seen the BLM down there checking on things. We haven’t been able to get to the other ranches down the river yet. Thank You For watching.

Several years ago I had a brief Facebook discussion with the owner's wife. I think her last name was Davis but not sure anymore. She was quite elderly and lived in California during our discussion. Glad you showed this ranch. Hope you got to see the petroglyphs along the river downstream of the ranch. Pretty neat ranch for sure!

same here.... if I start putting on shoes, or grab sunglasses, or keys, or LOOK OUTSIDE, Rukus is ready to go. Boating and chasing his drone being the two favorite results of rides. Batshit crazy for his drone. Slowing down now, but a couple years back could hold 30 mph for nearly half mile before starting to lag! Fun to watch.

@@The_Doberlanders_Adventures yes that's cool . If you looked above the door to the school building you would have noticed a rope tied in a knot up against the over hang that rope is to the bell in the steeple ( I know I have a friend who is a park ranger there ) it's up higher then the kids can reach , or notice. You know.. I fully understand the concept of patriotism and I am in full support of it in memorials, but I really wish people would stop using that as an excuse or "waver" for disrespecting our flag, and the U.S. Flag Code of ethics states The Flag is NOT SUPPOSED to be allowed to touch the ground or any "soiled" surface and must be held in an elevated manor. Its ok to, and pefectly appropriate for a display of a flag here at this crash site as a memorial, but it should have been elevated OFF the GROUND.
