You will come across a Ren song in which you'll say, "I'm not crying." Eveyone has that one song that hits them hard. Goosebumps are another side effect of Ren's music. The man is on another level. He's also very humble.

Oh and hi Ren, tale of Jenny and Screech, and the first and third part of money game are sung and played live and in a one take shot. They have to start over but even though he want the one shot, his sometimes not picture perfect pitch stay in. I think playing live and leaving the little mistakes but doing it in a one shot take, it's shows his love and structure and the rest his authenticity. Oh and he has/ had....I would have to check a great camera man Samuel. Jenny and Screech are the best examples of Ren's and sam's talents.
@anaiswinter989317 сағат бұрын
If you like the back and forth of his characters and styles I can recommend Tale of Jenny and Screech. Sick Boy, Suic***, I forgot how to me, chalk Outlines.....all good stuff. The last two songs are done with Chinchilla, a fucking Queen, and I liked her song:gone little girl. Both musicians are very good. I haven't someone's ingenuity in acting, making the song a play and all around modern Minstrel, storytelling often an element in his songs. Sadly he is sick again and I am so sad. He was finally feeling better, working on an album and know he has to wait again, maybe giving out one of the already done songs to keep his fans entertained. His music gives me su much....also struggling with mental illness since forever and having an undiagnosed autoimmune disease, that they don't want to find out more.......just a shrug, well, it's not THIS autoimmune disorder, so fuck If we know and if all fails, the good old, your mentally ill....so maybe it was that. I can differentiate between psychological illness and pure bodily ones. Well, all that and the suicide of his friend gave me so much in music and someone voicing all the shit I can't say out loud. Sick boy is a good way to get into his views on the medical system.sorry, long rant. Oh, and he's Welch....his accent sometimes comes through.

A lot of comments keep saying this is a one-take. For the audio it probably is, but the video was edited together from the four different takes they did. Recorded all live though.
@hmo_mackey9 сағат бұрын
@leet9181 Ren and Samuel have said in several interviews that the video is a combination of the few different takes they managed to do. And the cuts are visible in the video.

If you like inspirational rap, that's just a little different...check out Tom Macdonald - God Mode. I'm typically a rock girl, but these two rappers have made it into my "everyday listens" now. Both totally independent as well.

I think it’s pretty common that the first time you hear and see that you’re floored. Some credit does have to go to the video director too, because the lighting switches and cacophonous sound just do so much to align with the lyrical messaging… I honestly think it’s criminal these guys, Ren, his team, aren’t raking in awards.

I whole-heartedly agree. As an eclectic person, I've always hated those elitist attitudes, arbitrary lines people draw, and petty fights over their "teams" when it comes to musical genres. Istg they spend more time fighting over music than actually enjoying music. 🤨

Ren has a way of drawing in fans from literally everywhere, from all ages and all walks of life, no matter the genres they normally prefer. I see SO many comments even from seniors saying it's been a long time since they heard something they truly enjoyed. People who are genuinely interested in music again because of him. The Renegade fandom is an awesome mix. Try Ren's other music and see what you like! This is just a general list of his musical styles I'm recommending, not necessarily for reaction videos although some of them are definitely ones you gotta check out for reaction vids... If you like rap/hip-hop: Sick Boi, Animal Flow, Down On The Beat, Wicked Ways, The Hunger, Genesis, Masochist, Illest of Our Time. Rap-rock + other fusions: Seven Sins, Hold On (also has folk elements), Crucify Your Culture, Money Game 1, 2, and 3, Troubles, Su!cide, Lost All Faith, and his rap remix of Bittersweet Symphony (sampling The Verve). If you prefer more rock and folk: The Tale of Jenny and Screetch along with Violet's Tale (heavy folk vibes), Freckled Angels, Uninvited. Soulful music and rock fused with other elements: Blind Eyed with Sam Tompkins (the Live MC Sessions is best audio, but the live busking versions are good too), Humble Ft. Eden Nash, and his collabs with Chinchilla - "Chalk Outlines" and "How To Be Me" (live versions are best). Then there's his band The Big Push which does multiple genres as well, but I haven't dove into that yet so can't recommend anything. I know they did some covers of Black Sabbath if you're into more metal.

Ya'll need to do the trilogy of Jenny & Skreech and for sure the Money Game trilogy! (and yes, this was a one-take performance, as is a lot of his stuff)
@StilesyКүн бұрын
You gotta watch the tales of Jenny Screech and Violet! Ren is incredible, and like ‘Hi Ren’ those are also performed and recorded live, in one take. He is an incredible storyteller, and as you dive into the ren rabbit hole you’ll realise that you just can’t pin a specific genre on him. He does so much! Rap, singing, busking, live storytelling, and he just explores so many different genres of music, it’s awesome!! You definitely have to listen to songs like, Sick Boi, which has a whole story behind it. I suggest watching that, then watching Ren’s explanation on the “Kujo beats situation”. After you have all the context you should listen to Kujo Beat Down.. Anyway, enough with the rambling. Ren is awesome and I really think yall should listen to more of his songs.. Genesis, Illest of our time, animal flow, hunger, murderer, Money Game Pt. 1, 2, & 3.. Seriously this guy has something special. BUT ANYWAY AGAIN! IVE RAMBLED FOR WAY TO LONG, LOTS OF LOVE FROM AUSTRALIA! 🇦🇺 I’m boutta sub right now, you guys are sick

Thanks guys! Great reaction and you made me belly laugh a good few times. If you stay this hilarious and real then I'll have to come back and watch some more! Love from a Brit and Renegade ❤ P.s. re: the one take... He had four goes at it, recording 'one take' each time. They took the vocals from only one seemless take, then I think added the monologue at the end. The video is stitched from the best shots from the four attempts. So while the visual performance is not all one take, the singing, rapping, and guitar playing, are all done in one live performance. He's an incredibly talented man! There's behind the scenes footage and interviews with Ren verifying how it was done 😊
