If I remember correctly, Rapunzel just forgot about Varian after the kingdom was saved. She said she was worried after a couple episodes! Why?! WHY COULDN'T SHE COME TO HELP HIM?!?!

Isn't the show about moving on and accepting that some of our loved ones will pass away or just dissapear from our lives forever and we have to continue living on without them? And that we will eventually learn to cherish the time we had with them, instead of feeling only apathy and sorrow, while simultaneously being able to grasp our true feelings towards the people we love? That's basically the main message of most episodes of the original series, not just the surface-level idea of "emotionless girl learns what love is". And like some other person said 4 months ago, I hate that some people think that Violet can get a happy ending only if her foster parent/caretaker comes back from the dead with no adequate explanation and then becomes her husband. I think that Gilbert staying dead and Violet's acceptance to move on is a much more mature, relatable and overall proper ending. It's a good thing that the show's conclusion is pretty satisfactory and those who were disappointed in the final movie can just ignore it's existence.

Idk i never felt like he had to be dead, i wanted him to be alive so she could have her happy ending The show wasn't about her moving on it was always about her learning to feel and to understand Her being able to tell him she understands is a beautiful ending to a beautiful show, the entire show was bittersweet but the ending gave her a happyending, i dont think the movie was perfect and i dont think it was as good as the show but i also don't dislike it

But this movie was atleast a 9.5/10 for me. It bought me to tears.

I agree with most of the video, the part with Yuris was the only really Violet Evergarden part of the movie, and the ending is junk. It would've been so much better if they just went back, and did the novel ending instead. In the novel their reunion is built up much better, the timing for it is much more in synch with how the story evolved in the end, and... Well, volume 3 was still not finished when the anime debuted, so the creators had to go with an anime original ending, which kind of broke the story's dynamic

Yes, giving a sad ending to this story could have also left just as much great impact -as this whole series is about the death of loved ones and how those still living tries to move on from the grief.. However to me, it felt like especially after the fire incident in 2019, KyoAni wanted to give at least our beloved Violet a happy ending. Thank you KyoAni for giving Violet a happy ending. Although I have a bittersweet feeling, knowing Violet will be at peace with Gilbert allows me to let go of this masterpiece.

I think one of the problems is Rapunzel's failure to Varian was due to her making a promise she couldn't keep and when the choices were on the table she ignored Varian's need. With Cass Rapunzel didn't actually really DO anything wrong to her. Raps's personality is one of the reasons why Varian wasn't able to be helped. Yes she didn't really have a choice but she ALSO didn't stop the guards from taking him away. She was passive, which in times like these can be one of her character flaws. She tries to be firm with Cass and that is one of the things that reduces their relationship. You just don't have a reason to sympathize with Cass long term.

at least we can say that some good things came out of evil cass. those being: - the vibes - the cool design - the songs (“nothing left to lose”, “crossing the line”, etc)

Ok but they should have left varians dad dead. COMMIT TO THE CONSEQUENCES!! I know its a kids show but i HATE when writers kill a character for the sake of drama, and then bring them back like nothing happened. All of the impact is lost. It also would have been way more impactful for Varian to have forgiven Rapunzel despite not being able to revive his father

Sorry, but if you thought that Violet’s and Gilbert’s relationship was anything other than romantic then you’re stupid af. It’s clear that they both had romantic feelings for each other.

Violet and Gilbert’s relationship was so off in the movie. Apparently, it was a romance in the novels. The show always depicted it as a daughter-father relationship, which simply doesn't make sense with how obsessed Violet is with Gilbert. I don't really agree with the video that the movie isn't good because the relationship is unhealthy-exploring unhealthy relationships and characters devolving could be great and interesting if it's well written. The problem is that it's not well written-it's a mess.

I cannot believe Sanzaru games would make a plot twist this stupid, rushed and assassinate Penelope’s character that was perfectly fine in Sly 3. Why have Bentley fight his girlfriend at all, for a stupid plot twist and character growth? His character is already at its peak, why make this choice at all when it does absolutely nothing with his character!? she gave good reasons why she had to betray her friends because she wanted Bentley to see his potential, even though it was completely sloppy and rushed but why have her betray her friends at all when she help them, joined the Cooper Gang and risked her life to save Bentley from Lefree? Why couldn’t they have her and Bentley apologize to one another and she would go with them and help them take down Leparadox and save the rest of the Cooper timeline? Question mark involved, WHY!?😢😱🤬😫 I really like this game despite some of its flaws but this is one thing I cannot forgive the game for and that’s trashing Penelope’s character, the same thing happened to Discord from My Little Pony G4 and it’s plot twist with him pretending to be Grogar and almost got his friends and especially Fluttershy killed still angers me to this day.🤦🏾‍♂️ I still have hope for the Sly Cooper franchise though, maybe soon they’ll probably be able to fix these issues in Sly 5 next year maybe.

I think no matter what the decision was, aang should have made it. The lion turtle removed all responsibilities and thats bad. If aang didnt kill him he has to live with keeping him locked up and a constant threat. If he did he has to reconcile his own beliefs over being the avatar. Either one of those endings is better than lion turtle go burrrrrr because they have serious consequences . Good video PS. I lean towards killing him because honestly the past avatars have a point. I mean they have an entire episode of what happens if you DONT kill a threat(Roku with Sozin). Plus death is more merciful in my view than being locked up for the rest of your life
