I have seen others achieve good results with the Cricut Foil Tool but for me personally it was hit and miss after dozens upon dozens of tries, trouble shooting fails and a massive waste of supplies, which is why I finally gave up on it and decided to try the Foil Quill. It changed everything for me with regards to foiling! That said, you have nothing to lose if you already own the Cricut Foil Tool; it’s worth giving a try and seeing how well yours performs! HTH!

It’s made by We R Memory Keepers and they developed it to work with most of the digital cutters like the Silhouette Cameo and the Brother Scan N Cut, in addition to the Cricut Explore Air 1/2 and Maker models.

The video was created for customer service reps at Cricut who wanted to see what the machine was actually doing, hence the ticket and machine serial numbers.

I haven’t tried that but I’d say, No; if you’re using a Maker and set some of the lines to perforate, it will direct you to load the perforating blade, which is not intended for transferring foils. It’s intended to cut tiny perforated lines into your paper.

The Mini Press has 3 bars/levels of heat; I would set it to just one or two bars; 3 would probably be too high for the paper and increase the possibility of scorching the paper.
