You're welcome! I have a Silhouette Portrait, and a Brother Scan N Cut, but ever since I got the Cricut Maker, I just really love working with it the mostest. The newest Cricut Maker and Explore machines feature faster cutting and are designed to work with Smart Materials, but if that's not as important to you, the original Cricut Maker is $150 off right now--I think until Sept. 17th? Which is a crazy good deal!
