Everytime I remember The Bill I always remember they filmed around south-west London, just as I was watching this to bring back memories I instantly recognised 2:22 as Wimbledon outside Next, the shopping centre was being built at the time which you can see across the road!

Its 2024, and they cant even make a simple theme tune anywhere near as good as this, never mind the programme being incredible (until it went soapy).

Hey, are you aware about Channel Television launching in HD on Sky and Freesat pretty soon? It is already broadcasting with the frequency of 11053 H 23000 3/4 DVB-S2 8PSK, the SID (and the label as of now) being 20720.

@@2Draw I don’t know if I can. I used to record through a DVD recorder, so it wouldn’t be HD anyway, but I have no idea if it still works. I haven’t used it in years. I’ll try hopefully later in the week as I don’t have time in the next couple of days.

I loved the longer version of Overkill v2 (Overkill v1 being used from 1984-1987 - I liked that but it wasn’t as iconic). I hated it when they shortened the end titles from 1991 onwards.

"Aaaand the team at Sunhill will be back tomorrow at the same time when PC Hollis has to rethink his attitude to the Cobcroft Estate while DS Don Beech races against time to disarm a bomb lodged up Sergeant Cryer's nose... and of course Frank Burnside is engaged in his usual antics. That's tomorrow night on The Bill. Up next... one of six comedians hosts a panel featuring the other five comedians, then it's nothing but back-to-back reality shows until 3am. Here on all of British television."

When they actually respected the closing theme instead of drowning it out? Allowing a bit of atmosphere to linger? Yeah, I remember that - but my great-great-grandchild is a brontosaurus.
