EXACTLY! There is zero parking for cars, and it would not seat enough spectators to draw a major league team. It is pretty clear that once the existing arena is torn down, they really have no intention to build a actual new arena... they will quickly change their plans to build more "affordable" (my keester) apartments in the small corner where the arena is supposed to be built. It is an obvious scam like Sucker City was.

@ When I lived in SD (20 years ago) the Uptown district in Hillcrest was unique in that design. So good to hear more pedestrian centric development is being developed.

Del Mar is the town that voted to close its railroad station about 10 years ago - I guess so the unwashed from San Diego have a harder time to get there. Yes, take "public" out of "transportation!" The same people have been putting "Don't Fence Us In" signs up near their multimillion dollar houses, protesting a safety measure the county wants to employ in order to prevent the regularly occurring suicides and accidents plaguing the tracks that go by the bluffs - the fence would interfere with the viewing of their multimillion dollar sunsets. Del Martians are one of the most entitled, most selfish people in SoCal and it is a high bar to pass! Check in to the Bohemian Alchemist for a cup of tea to get the (chilly) "vibe".

Bern, when talking about sports, how can you forget the amazing growth of San Diego State basketball? The team appeared in the National Championship 2 years ago and was in the Sweet 16 again last year. Viejas has become one of the premier venues for watching College Basketball in the entire country. Madhouse on the Mesa! San Diego State Football also finally has it's own stadium for the first time in decades. It is a beautiful new stadium with a very unique San Diego design and vibe.

Oh wow! This is helpful. I am currently in Colorado and love the dryer air here but was looking for a property near the beach. We visited and looked just north at the beach towns but goodness the sweating bothered me sooooo much!!! I thought it was Cali because the year before we looked near Csrmel. Same thing! Sweating even though it felt cold lol 😆 I might need to revisit the idea.

Thanks. I’ve lived in San Diego for 44 years and growth has always been my biggest fear but I am thankful every day to be here. You're nuts, San Diego has some of the best burgers around. Hodad's, Crown Pub, Hayes, Balboa Bar, The Friendly, Crazee, and for Fast Food In-N-Out. I came from the East Coast of Florida where good burgers are few and far between.

I heard the price of gas is going to keep going down over the next few months, in some areas of the country. it is around 2.00 probably 3.00 to 3.50 in California, I saw it on Clark Howards show, OPEC is giving up on helping Russia defeat Ukraine and that will make prices drop
