Thanks Bern. That was enjoyable, and informational. Going back, to 1992,I had a friend who worked at La Jolla Country Day School. And he rented a room at his friend's Beth, who had a Condo in Del Mar. I saw the condo, but not the neighborhood. I wish I had gone to some of the beaches. I did go Torry Pines ,once, and Beautiful. I also went to the Del Mar fair(now the San Diego state fair) It was fun and pretty big, compared to CT's state Fairs.,except in Massachusetts, The Big E, is huge. Say Hi to Courtney, I hope she is well.

Although if you live in the Del Mar Heights area your address does say Del Mar you're technically not in the city of Del Mar. Also the best time to visit Del Mar or San Diego in general is September.

Very disappoint...you never mentioned IL FORNAIO.. at the PLAZA... We opened it in 1989... the only business at that time! after 36 years later its still open! and successful..
