Love this video but still having trouble. My husky just got diagnosed 2 weeks ago. I feel like I am never giving it to her. The needle bends every time. I'm beyond frustrated.....

I love that I found this video and your other video about testing and tracking your dogs glucose levels. Thank you for sharing this info with others. I felt so lost, and sometimes still do, when our baby was diagnosed with diabetes. I didn't feel like I was ever given enough information on how to care properly for my baby. Here's some additional information that could be helpful for anyone that i wish we would have known sooner. However, by trial and error, here we are, and still learning. Disclaimer: I am not a veterinarian doctor. 1. Never rub the injection sight after you've administered the insulin shot, because that can cause the insulin to absorb too quickly. 2. Never inject in the scruff, and never inject on the spine. When injecting in a site along the back, make sure you are 1-2 inches away/to the side of the spine. 3. Make sure the bevel (slanted opening on tip of needle) is facing upward so the insulin can be absorbed and distributed correctly. 4. We like to feed our girl every 12 hours and we administer the insulin 30 minutes after her eating. Try to be as adamant on a routine timing as possible for best results. 5. Take the insulin out of the fridge about 15 mins before administering it, the cold insulin can be painful. This was the case for our girl. You could also place the insulin filled plastic part of the needle between your fingers to "warm" it up. 6. We get the 6mm length needles. It's a very short needle and less painful for our girl. There's also 8mm which is just a tad longer for those big fur dogs. 7. High fiber, like adding green beans and celery to their food, is great and helps them feel fuller longer. 8. Highly recommend doing at home testing of blood glucose levels and running curves at home, especially if your diabetic dog has a ravenous appetite but is very skinny and not gaining weight. Sometimes an adjustment in insulin is needed and doing the curve test at home is a lot cheaper and less stressful on your pup than spending all day at the vet to do the test.

Our pup suddenly took a turn this week and was diagnosed with a rapid onset of diabetes yesterday and it's just been so overwhelming trying to get our heads around it all. The shot last night was fine but she was wriggling and yelping far too much this morning to get it done. I've been watching videos today and reading about what people do and this has been the most helpful and encouraging info I've come across. Thank you so much for this!

I have watched several videos on checking glucose and all mentioned the ear to get the blood but the skin is so thick, it was so hard to get and he didn't like it. We had such a headache. Then I found your video, tried on elbow, and worked great!!! Thank you so much for this!!

Recently made few sample tea lights with soy wax. I had measured the quantity required etc and had also poured at correct temperature. They all had some sink holes and later they turned all frosty on the top when I tried to fix them with a heat gun 🤔

I have had the same issue before and I figured out now.. it usually happens with temperature change. I live in AZ and it usually happens during the summer time when I put my candles in a cool room to set. It doesn’t harm the candle.. at least no In my experience.. the candles are just not as pretty as the others that didn’t crystallize. I think it add character! 🤣

@@ShadyyNess I also tried 8% frgrance oil tea light as per the formula/ratio but it kept stopping while burning. Never burned full whereas same tea light burns full without fragrance oil🙄
