A beautiful new book has been written about them, their lives and their experience. It's called "Maurice and Maralyn" by Sophie Elmhirst. It really helps to understand their lives and their relationship (/love story) in a way that Maurice himself would struggle to convey in his books. It's also very eloquent on his later life. Highly recommend

The boys don’t seem to happy to be home. I it’s a re-enactment because the boys were 13-14 years old and these boys look 19-20 years old. Plus they left some of the details out the story making it too and leaving people with a lot of questions. 😊BUT! It is a fantastic story.

They left as boys, but come back as men 💪🏻🔥 this is one of the most miraculous stories ever. They were just kids when they got lost. They will be mates for life I bet.

This is what real men looked like back in the old days, and they were only between 13 and 19.

Wow I am just learning about this story and this is my first time indulging in this beautiful story & I am just astonished of how amazing it is‼️ absolutely incredible in every way possible, those 6 boys are absolute gems & were the last generation of real men, I couldn’t imagine 6 boys of this generation getting stranded on an island they would be dead within weeks let alone days, for some reason this brought tears to my eyes 😢 & the fact they knew how to help they’re buddy who broke his leg & he winded up being okay is just amazing & the water from the tree trunk was incredible as well very bright young men I wonder how they lived the rest of their days & hope they never lost touch with one another cause being together in such moments should create unbreakable friendships that last a life time, such a beautiful story that I won’t forget 💯 how a film wasn’t made about this is beyond me 🤦🏻♂️ if I was a director I would make films about all these real life stories that have happened instead of people making films of nonsense 🤦🏻♂️

It's amazing that this story is not more known, those boys are a true inspiration. 15 months and they all survived and worked together. If i were their mom i would be so proud.
