Thanks for this video and replies. Certainly agree with continuous mixing when using these products. I prefer enamels for painting my scale models even though the gloss colours need more time to dry in a dust free area. I apply an undercoat of thinned matt paint first and wait for it to dry thoroughly before applying final coats. Suggest you allow plenty of ventilation, especially when thinning the paint and cleaning brushes afterwards.

The show video was very informative and fascinating. I am a modeler and retired graphic designer so I enjoyed it from those aspects. These days, when there are scarcely any hobby shops left, it is vital to have some interconnection with other modelers, model designers, historians and others that work in the industry and continue in one way or another, to promote the stories and historical resources that modelers and collectors thrive on.

Hey Brandon. Talk about some serious parallels! You gotta watch the presentation Aaron and Tim from FSM did at the nationals. The video is on their channel. The history of the hobby and where it is going and the open mic night went hand in hand with each other. Great job.....

Gentlemen...Is anyone going to make a Vultee BT-13 Valiant (1/48th or 1/32nd) that is NOT from Planet Models? It was the most used basic trainer used in the USA during WWII.

Hi Brandon. Sorry I missed the show last night. I'm in the process of moving from South Carolina to Santa Rosa Beach Florida and the packing and scheduling sidetracked me. SO...I'm watching the show today at breakfast, lunch and dinner. We modelers very much appreciate the Wednesday night show. Thank you!

Is there a building guide booklet? Are the assembly instructions detailed enough and adequate; even for beginners? Or is there just a general information sheet included, with no actual step-by-step instructions provided?

honestly , there is a subject in 1/35 scale level that need to be expanded , it is the Locomotives subject , so far i know there are only few locomotives type that available in that scale just like BR-52 Kriegslok , BR-86 , BR-64 etc , beyond them there are a lots of locomotives type that need to be kitted in 1/35 just like BR-41 , BR-01 , BR-85 , the classic BR-93 (Prussian T-14) and the Giant BR-05. they were used extensively and taking parts during the second world war

Great story, I’m not into military unless it’s Ma.K. , but the whole point of modeling is to be able to make it work for your own self satisfaction. I will definitely look into the MiniArt model line. Thanks for the great interview and introduction to this brand.

The cost of the paint would drive me to the poorhouse! It would be a build of a life time if you finish it. Shame there is not much information as far a small details. Good luck on the build and hopefully will see it done in my lifetime ! Cheers.

@@joemoore4027 thankfully I am starting to get my new model room at my new house ready for building again…. So it won’t be too much longer before I’m back at it!!! As far as paint goes, I agree with you… however I used tamiya German grey in the spray can and for the first initial base coat on the large main parts it only took a little over 2 cans so it’s not as bad as I thought it would be (they were light coats so i can come back with airbrush for varying shades later)

@SquadronMMD
@SquadronMMD Ай бұрын
I think it is their way of saying its not really a scale... in the game they were not "to scale" with the rest of the vehicles and infantry... If it were Revell we would probably say "box scale". It is supposed to be just under 16 inches long (or 400mm as they say)

Very nice & interesting interview. Although I’m new to the channel I’m not new to Squadron. I’ve been modeling since the late 60’s & Squadron was one of my go-to’s. In fact I’ve built several Miniart kits. Miniart is indeed a quality company. The only issue I have is that a lot of the parts are small & fragile so it becomes taxing on these old eyes & shaky hands. Lastly I’m very pleased that Squadron is back.
