I have a ticket open with ERC regarding the telemetry syncing issues you're experiencing. The ticket number is 133, and is being worked by Tiago Vinicius Ficagna. You may want to reference it when you speak with the team. They have been pretty responsive. I hope you're able to work with them to resolve the issues.

I really think these need to be able to go upside down. I've been in one at a air force museum simulator (kalamazoo) that was built in 2012 and the graphics sucked but everything else was awesome.

I purchased my Yaw 3 simulator about a month ago and I have been trying to use Infuse VR and Motion Compensation with MSFS2020 ever since. The motion compensation issues have made me regret the purchase. Sir, you want to provide the impression that it is very easy; but it is not. It is very difficult to get these programs working together. You need to provide in your webpage a step-by-step guide on how to set up these programs. Your support team has nice people; but so far, they have not helped me get my Yaw3 running properly. I am, so far, very disappointed. Buyers be ware!

I have both YAW3 and Quest3 and did the exact thing at 4:12 to turn on telemetry, I have both on the same wifi network and the YAW app does show that engine is connected to ingame Epic Roller Coaster and made sure it is Started mode not Stop mode but there was no motion at all during the game. Can you tell me what I am missing here?
@YawVR8 күн бұрын
Please make sure that your PC and your Game Engine is not connected to the simulator. (It could run in the background also) The normal process would be to go to settings/hardware/push Yaw VR button/push the connect button next to your device's name at the bottom. Then start the track and when it is started, the simulator should move. Once I had to restart the game to make the connection work, please try to do that also.
@david0ade8 күн бұрын
@@YawVR Thanks for the reply, I have tried all the above and everything I know and it still does not move and it's odd that the other game called "MarineVerse Cup" works for me without any issue as that is the only game I know that I can test with Quest 3 standalone game with YAW3 without using PC but I really wish Epic Roller Coaster works. I have sent email to YawVR support waiting for a reply.

@YawVR9 күн бұрын
Hi, you can play with GT7 if you use a PC that collects the motion data and send it to the simulator. We will have soon a dedicated solution for direct connection to PlayStation

How did you implement motion compensation with the Quest 3 and the Yaw 3? I don't see an extra controller anywhere for example. Does it mean the Yaw 3 does something by itself in this regard?
@antjones228110 күн бұрын
The yaw is sending it's position to the game
@JoernR9 күн бұрын
The game itself rotates the view and makes you always face forward. Otherwise it would be unplayable without breaking your neck.
@Kusanagi649 күн бұрын
@@JoernR hey, thanks for your reply. I know what motion compensation is, but I was wondering which device was sending the data to make this happen.
@YawVR9 күн бұрын
Yes, with our Unity SDK the game can get the actual simulator orientation from Yaw and with that data the game developers can implement the motion compensation. An other technique is that you suppose that the simulator will move to the right position, in that case the basis of the motion compensation could be the game data (I mean the orientation what the game send to the simulator) In this last case it is important, that the game data should be fit in to the simulator's motion limits. The third solution could be the controller based MC

Hi @YawVR, can you create a page on your official website that to update the list of Meta Quest games that support your YawVR device? (native or through SRS / TCP / UDP)? As Meta Quest is the obvious VR mainstream by now, please pay more effort in getting more Quest game to support your devices. Especially those cockpit seated games will definitely become much much immersive than ever! This will be an Win-Win case.

Fine for flight sims. But the motion is awful/unrealistic for cars.
@stevetb777715 күн бұрын
We need a proper review by a racing sim enthusiast, like Boosted Media. Keep in mind settings are adjustable and some movements can be exaggerated to produce certain sensations. For example, the sim pitching backwards a bit higher speeds helps to produce the sensation of gforce. It isn't about how it looks, it is about how it feels.
@liquidsk8s15 күн бұрын
@ it’s actually just a really poor design for driving sims as it moves in a unnatural way. Better to have a 4 post setup recreating the suspension movement. Boostedmedia wouldn’t waste his time on this. This has no business in sim racing. It’s for amusement parks. You can’t create gforce with this. The poor attempt to create gforce instead results in a unrealistic angling back/force. Not even F1 teams try to recreate gforce because they know it can’t be done.
@stevetb777715 күн бұрын
@@liquidsk8s BoostedMedia reviewed the Yaw1 for simracing 4 years ago. I recall him stating it wasn't ready. I don't think he hated it. There probably isn't a motion sim in the consumer range perfect for both racing and flight, but good enough is what many people are going for. Guarantee you, absolutely, if Yaw sends him a Yaw3 he will review it.
@liquidsk8s15 күн бұрын
@ doubt it, pretty sure after the first he realized it’s a joke. It’s a fundamentally flawed design. It’s not even remotely good enough. It’s a negative experience that worsens it.
@liquidsk8s15 күн бұрын
@ just rewatched his conclusions. He found it to be a joke. The amount of flex in the wheel base and pedal mount is laughable. It can’t sustain a DD or proper load cell pedal, plus a flawed motion design at a premium price.

Great video again Zsolt I have been with you guys with my yaw 2 and still love it and use it everyday. When flying fast jets in MSFS in VR it is a workout for the body and the mind the only latency I get is if the internet connection drops for a second and freezes but the Yaw copes and gets back on track quickly. The speed this things moves (controllable ) is amazing

Great video but a lot is lost when not seeing the rotation. Maybe rig a selfie stick with a go-pro extending behind the chair but facing forward. Then place markers around you to help mark movements. This will allow you to rotate but still allow visual observation of latency. I'm not sure if GoPros have pitch and roll overlays, but if so, that'd be even better.

Great video! I am becoming more and more convinced about the viability of YAWVR with every video you put out. You are really doing a great job. Can you do a video showing what happens and what it feels like if you go inverted and sustain inverted flight, also if you perform a full roll (flat and barrell), if you do a loop and if you do a spin. Basically, if you fly aerobics, what does the motion simulator do and how does it feel?

Question: Is it possible to bind the yaw movement only to traction loss movement? Example: You drive through a corner without loosing traction = no yaw movement You drive through a corner and loose traction or even drift through the corner = yaw = drift angle degree A video on drifting motion simulation would be great!
