Thoughts on the other HR* tip openings? Is the 6 just too close?

I think there's many factors into finding the right tip opening. If you're new to jazz mouthpieces, the 5/6 would be great to try. You should stick to it for at least a year before making the switch to anything else so you're more in line with what you want based on a solid year experience.

I just sold my Trevor James horn for a use 76 second edition big difference this horn it sings when you play it compared to my Trevor, which was like a diesel freight train. It was a heavy horn and he really needs to warm it up before he gets serious on it, but this really sings the 76
