Had a k series, ended up with valves stuck through the cylinder, when the timing chain slipped, Scrapped it and bought a Tesla instead,

How did you know the valve was stuck?? My timing chain slipped recently and currently bought a kit to see if that fixes the problem because one of the guide tensioner broke and went off timing cause a crank no start

@ well it was the hole in the top of the cylinder that was the biggest issue and the top of one of the valves was broke off When I tore the engine down, The tim8ng chain was loose but I’m not sure if that was the cause or if something happened with a valve that caused the chain to loosen

What was the mileage on your car when you decided to change the ball joints? And did you change them because you were hearing bad noises or something?

Honestly can’t remember the mileage but definitely preventive maintenance. I believe I was hearing a creaking and sometimes a popping sound. Also have PTSD when the ball joint kachowed itself out.

@ i had it on stock suspension. it didn’t seem to matter what brand of part i bought, one of the lower ball joints would go bad every 4-6 months i got tired of changing them 😂 god i can’t imagine a turbo on a tsx, even just a retune the thing pulled like a freight train

I’d go for some coilovers tein flex z are alright don’t go that low. The daily has em and is maxed out. Bc racings are always good. But there are some spring options if you wanna stay a little cost friendly
