In terms of the exact clothing brand, this is super insightful. I just recently got into rocking Nike Air Max's. I find the Air Max SC the most comfortable for my feet. For the beggy cargo pants; I love wearing my 5.11 tactical cargos. I agree in terms of the UniQlo brand, they just make high quality clothing, including their shirts and beggy cargos. I defiantly recommend it. Overall, I can say for myself that wearing slim fit to loose clothing defiantly made dancing a lot more smoother for me and my body is able to breathe more. I will say "to each of their own" on how you wanna dress when dancing. Thanks for this vid brotha!

Hi Jardy... I just noticed you don't have vids for (kinda a request too hehe)... Peter-Paul Basic Toe-Taps and its' progressions Toe-Pivot-Salsa (ie: both feet synced & going same-direction, moving/pumping out the heels w/ da beat), both basic/stationary and moving fwd/backward, etc. (idk the name of this) Perhaps stationary-floating-running-man too (of different speeds/tempos - 1/4, 1/8, 1/16th notes).

@@Edgar-M hey Edgar! I’m not super sure about the last two, but I definitely teach the Peter Paul in my online course, as well as every toe tap that I do. It’ll probably stay exclusive to the course for a while. I’m sure there are a lot of Peter Paul tutorials online already though!

Jardy, are there any pre drum machine/MIDI sequencing songs that you like to dance, house tempo style to? Yes, I am, of course thinking disco or related rhythms. Curious what some of the popular classics may be. Or are there simply too many to name? Human drumming.

@@nzreggae2534 hey there! I unfortunately don’t keep very good track of disco era music. I dance to it occasionally to be able to relate to the experiences of my older mentors, but ultimately I enjoy post mid 80s music.

I have a question, i’m researching about house dance style. the fits u are showing in the video would be what people are using today for house dancing? This is for a uni task, I hope u would help me please 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Yes! Actually around 9:40, you’ll see that I have a sweatshirt wrapped around my waist. This look was very popular with house dancers in New York in the early 90s. Back then, you would typically see them wear this with some Doc Martin boots. As for the rest of the outfits, many house dancers around the world dress in the same styles currently.

Yeah I see, mi teacher sent me some outfits ideas and she mostly showed like shirts but a bit more formal, (I don’t know really how to explain it English is not my first language) but not so like streetwear would you disagree? In my research I’m like in a bit of conflict cause I’ve seen many people like u saying it’s more like streetwear and in the brands like Nike or Adidas even Reebok in like the 90’s style, but my teacher showed us this other style, baggy jeans but cropped by the ankle and shirt 👔 a bit like that but without the tie. I’m sorry if this is annoying it’s just for uni, thanks anyway

@@martinaantoniazepedapedemo9339 hi Martina! I think your teacher may just have a different idea of the clothing style for dancing, but I’ve never personally danced in clothes like that since I started dancing in 1993. :)

Hello Jardy, I'm planning on replacing carpet with engineered wooden flooring in my home. Do running shoes ever leave marks on wooden floors. If so is it easy to clean? I suspect from viewing your videos. You are dancing in running shoes on wooden floors and it isn't an issue. My concern was the twisting and scuffing of the shoes soles on the floor may cause some damage over time.
@JardySantiago
@JardySantiago 3 ай бұрын
@@nzreggae2534 hey there! If you buy shoes specifically for dancing indoors, you should be fine. Lots of damage can be traced back to pebbles that are stuck in between the grooves of the soles. Also it’ll help to get shoes with soles that are non-marking (not overly cheap). My dance floor is still spotless. It’s also smooth with no texture, so that probably helps too. I hope this is the info you needed! :)
