@@dehoofdwerker green stuff work and how you made the skin cape. It's mint as a whole project next time you make something record it and do a vid as a experiment. Can't hurt to try, if you have time that is.
@dehoofdwerker2 күн бұрын
@@davidatkins9793 I’ve done it lots of times already but it’s hard to determine beforehand whether it’s going to be cool or not. I’ve got heaps of video material of builds I don’t like too much clogging up my drives. 😂 at the moment I’m trying to set up a camera that’s both not in my way but also still has a good angle. I’ll keep experimenting!

I really like the first legion. I kinda like black templars also. The whole knightly order in space is killer plus the first gets plasma. Really cool. I kinda like the vibe to the Iron hands also but they are kind of watered down. I think it would be cool to really lean into the cyborg thing. There is a disconnect from the models to the lore also I think making space marines bigger is a huge step in the right direction.
@dehoofdwerker15 күн бұрын
Yeah I always loved the knights in space idea, which is both DA and BT to me. And the color schemes of both are great as well, with the 40k scheme of DA getting pretty close to the BT. Iron hands and Iron warriors have some great themes with all the mechanical stuff but unfortunately I don’t see it too much in the actual miniatures… but that’s what converting is for, right? 😊

I'm impressed by the green stuff wings on knee-pad skulls, repeating the NL symbol. What's this guy's makeup? He looks taller than a standard Chaos marine. I've been converting CSM for a while into Night Lords, so far 30 are built including base details. I enjoy taking my time on this project.

Many thanks! The legs are Tartaros legs made way longer, the torso is a regular Primaris torso sanded down. I made him quite a bit taller and stooped over to make him more menacing. This has been a lovely buid so far, the Nl have some great themes to work with 👍👍

Getting there?! Dude its looking great! Your green stuff work is great. Do you use silicone tools or metal ones? And do you use water or Vaseline? I hear the Tamiya putty is superior. I've tried a mix of 50% green stuff 50% Miliput but I didn't much like that either.
@dehoofdwerkerАй бұрын
Thanks a lot!! I use both types of tools, metal fort the sharper details and silicone for the smoother parts. Never tried Tamiya putty, but I’ve worked with milliput before. Didn’t like it too much as it was quite course. I heard about the mix too, but I really can’t put the effort into trying that yet! It’s yet another step to add in the process 😂
@TheIronFourth29 күн бұрын
Miliput needs to be smoothed out with water after applying. Like dip a silicone tool in water and you will be amazed how smooth it gets. I do a lot of work on Mcfarlane figures and it would cost me a fortune in green stuff 😂
