I’m out to my parents but it’s been a journey. They are now fully accepting though. My mom even had a pride flag in front of her house and volunteered at a pride center for a while. For a little my parents didn’t want me posting about being trans in fear I would be harassed at school. I don’t know if that helps lol.

I did it by making the commitment by telling my mom to come up to my room at a specific time bc I needed to tell her something important. After that I jsut…had to say it. I did it bc I was in a wheelchair with disabling mystery symptoms and if you know me that definitely means I’m repressing something important, so yk

i used hand written notes a ton while coming out. it makes it easier to get all your points out without getting nervous or taking anything back and you can just hand it to them and run away giving them the chance to process it on their own and talk to your when they’re ready.

It's def ok to be stealth, but not telling people on the first date in my opinion is not okay, because then you are keeping something away from someone that might not be okay with it and someone you might have a future with.

it depends on how the dates going. if i can tell im in a safe situation i always tell them, but if not then i dont and dont have a second date.

I wrote an essay about it for school a couple months back. Everyone is lonelier in general now than a couple decades ago, but I think most people feel lonely in their early adulthood because types of friendships change. They go from seeing each other everyday at school, texting constantly, telling them every detail of your life, to hanging out once a month maybe. Everyone's lives get busy after high school and a lot of friendships just don't last. Friendships based in close proximity and not common interests or values easily fall apart.

I don't think that be a trans man it's bad or something, but just call yourself a man omitted the trans part doesn't have to be a problem at all. I think that be transgender it is a part of our lives but we don't need to feel obligated to feel proud about it, we just can live a normal life passing as cis man and don't put a lot of attention to "the trans part". Be trans could be (and is) a really important part of our lives, something to remember, but it doesn't significate that we are obligated to think a lot about

i'm pre t and currently extremely worried about how my dating life will be in my 20s once i'm transitioned (i'm 17). i'm gay so i won't fully understand how you feel as i'll be in queer spaces anyway (which will still bring its own struggles) but i do feel for you. i believe that someone not wanting to date you for being trans sucks, but it just means that they weren't the one and that person is still out there!! thanks for being open

ugh dude i get the dread of coming out to a person you are interested in. for context, im an afab non binary person but i still present pretty feminine. usually people in the queer community are okay with me being non binary, but i’ve had a few people, usually straight guys, that have reciprocated my crushes but then start to distance themselves after they found out i was non binary. it sucks
