I’m one of those few people who haven’t read ACOTAR yet but I don’t think it will happen this year 🫣 I have too many books to read first and currently I’m re-reading the entire Harry Potter series (on book 4 atm) because I’m going to the UK in August, incl. Edinburgh, and it will be a HP trip so I wanna have it fresh in my memory 😅 I will definitely look into some of the books you recommended. „Crying in H Mart” got my attention the most I think 🤔

I have a rule of thumb that if main characters are younger, the books tend to be Y.A. Yebecca Raross 😂 broke that thumb. I genuinely thought Fourth Wing was Y.A. so the swearing did throw me off a little but I’d been completely thrown off my dragon when characters got graphically jiggy with it on page😂. With Pageboy, I enjoyed the films/tv show and game that I’d seen him in but soft DNF’d his audiobook.

The only book I read by Taylor Jenkins Ried that I enjoyed. Fourth wing was epic! I really enjoyed that fantastical book. The world building was easy to follow, and the characters were really diverse...The dragons were simply majestic! I am adding clap when you land to my TBR! thanks!

Bronze goddess! You look so summery and pretty! I LOVED Educated. I think you will like The Glass Castle too. Totally different life story, but similar vibes. Both really well written and stories of women who overcame such difficult childhood/family experiences. I’m very excited to hear your thoughts on the ACOTAR series! I am about halfway through the second book, and I’m loving it! I found the first book kinda slow and tough to get into for the first half or so though.

I had the exact same issue with Fourth Wing as you did - the romance part, I mean… yeah. So I rated it 4/5 for that reason 😅 I’m almost done with Iron Flame and I have to say that the 2nd half of the book is a bit boring to me. I still have a couple chapters to go but I already think my rating for the 2nd volume will be lower than the 1st but I’m still going to read the whole series because despite its flaws I still enjoy the world, the dragons and most of the characters ☺️ PS I did say that a while ago but I believe that especially us girls do not compliment each other enough so I have to leave this comment here - you look absolutely gorgeous 😍 I think the weight loss thing itself is one aspect of it but it is visible what that outer change did to your self-confidence and mood in general, so happy to see that 😊

Two historical fiction recs: 1. The House of Eve by Sadeeqa Johnson is one I greatly enjoyed. I was surprised by how much I liked it and it made we want to move Yellow Wife up on my TBR. 2. Benjamin Franklin's Bastard by Sally Cabot is another one that surprised me by how easy it read and how it sucked me in. Also, I recently read Before I Let Go and it was so, so good!

The first Me Before You book is fantastic and beautiful and tragic but so good! I love it! It took me 5 years to read the second one… like I started it and finished if 5 years later…. So… take that how you will lol Caraval and Once Upon a Broken Heart are some of my all time favourite series of all time!!! They have my whole heart❤❤

Seeing that Elizabeth Acevedo is on your radar, I would have to say that The Poet X by her is pretty good.

Matt Haig is pronounced hey-g 😊 The Midnight Library was generally loved when it came out so I find it refreshing to hear someone who has similar feelings to it as I did. I am willing to try more of his books but I’m not in any particular rush.

I have a couple historical fiction recs!! “The Last House on the Street” by Diane Chamberlain. “The Alice Network” by Kate Quinn. Both can be a little slow in the beginning but are SO WORTH IT!!

i watched the me before you movie first and really liked it before reading the book! the book was good as well. the other 2 books in the trilogy were good but not as good as the first one, in my opinion
