Great groove. My thoughts are that when Steve Gadd and Steward Copeland had a child than the result was Vinnie Colaiuta. He has the skills, the groove and his energy is like a young dog. From Zappa to Chick Corea to Sting enz. He would fit in with Toto also. Awesome drummer.Respect!

That tutorial about 'tuning' was just utter shit and jumbled up madness. Quite amazing / shocking a drummer of this caliber doesn't understand his own tuning and can't even explain it clearly.

note how despite Vinnie holding his forearms almost still, the effectiveness of drumming as a highlight is amazing unlike many other drummers who seem to chase away mosquitoes with their movements

His pocket is just out of this world. Ive measured his tempo with a bpm app, its just crazy how accurate it is. Almost "inhuman but so human", at the same time.
